There are definitely a lot of fake reviews. I’m looking for air quality detector to test HCHO of my new furnitures, and got into this because it is ranked the highest in amazon search. Inspired by another 1-star reviewer, I looked at the past reviews of all 5-star reviewers, I surprisingly found about half of them have some patterns: 1. They are new to amazon, most started reviewing at sep 2017, the rest started in May or April 2017. Note the time right now is Jan 2018. 2. Once they started, they reviewed a lot of products. Typically 40-60 in just a few months. 3. They gave all 5-star reviews.If these are not fake reviews, then it means, Amazon is growing at a terrifying speed. Its user base doubles every half a years, and all those users are rich and heavy users, and they all had a very good user experiences. This is absurd.
