Solid, Reliable, and Built to Last – Would Definitely Buy Again
I purchased these Merrell Moab 3s back in November 2023, and they've quickly become my go-to hiking and all-around adventure shoes. I got them in size 10 wide in the Black Night color, which looks just as sharp in person as it does online—sleek but rugged.Right out of the box, they were comfortable with zero break-in time. The pigskin leather and mesh combo is breathable but durable, and I appreciate the eco-friendly touches like the 100% recycled laces, webbing, and mesh lining. The Bellows tongue really does a great job keeping out dirt and debris, which is especially noticeable on muddier trails. The fit is spot-on. The Kinetic Fit ADVANCED insole gives solid support without feeling too stiff, and the heel cushioning makes a huge difference on longer treks. My feet don’t ache after a day of hiking, which is more than I can say for past shoes.Traction is also top-tier. The Vibram TC5+ sole grips well on wet rocks, loose gravel, and other terrain. I feel secure on all kinds of terrain. Plus, the Merrell Air Cushion and EVA midsole combo adds noticeable shock absorption and overall comfort. The bottom line is that these are sturdy, well-made, and comfortable right out of the gate. If you’re looking for a dependable hiking shoe that can take a beating and still feel great, this is it. I’d absolutely buy them again.

Comfortable--Rugged--Anti-Slip Shoe!
These shoes, like my other Merrell Shoes, are great! I was originally worried that these might be some kind of "knock-off" brand but they are not. I found out that the new sole emblem is actually real and that that manufacturer is a new "partner" with Merrell. This color looks really nice. It is nicer than the picture shown in the ad. The grey and black contrast is quite pleasing to the eye. They fit like Merrells usually fit and they are very comfortable. As usual, the in-soles are removable so as to allow for insertion of your own custom orthotic. This shoe runs TRUE-TO-SIZE--don't play games with sizing, you will be sorry. I purchased a 1/2 sized larger than needed because I sometimes wear thick athletic socks when I do my walking. Additionally, the soles are very "grippy" and will serve you well on most all surfaces. However, remember NO sole will guarantee you will never slip it is just that these soles provide great traction. This particular model IS NOT WATERPROOF! If you want waterproof you will pay more and you must look for the special waterproof label on the side of the Merrell Shoe (all the waterproof models have this label). If you go for waterproof you will pay more and your feet will feel a little "warmer" inside when you have them on.Well that's my story. Good shoes! Good value! Not knock-offs! Buy them, you will be happy. Great color.

Great outdoor shoe for just about every use
I've always been a Keen fan but decided to give these a try mostly because of the price. Overall I'm happy with these shoes so here are the Pro's and Con's.PRO'S1. The overall fit is perfect no need to size up or down.2. They have a comfortable padded collar that wraps around your ankle and heal for support.3. They are very easy to slip on and off with the loop pull on the back of the heal. The design is perfect.4. The color is spot right on with the pictures and the shoes are nice to look at.5. The quality is very good and the shoes are well put together.6. The soles are grippy even in wet conditions.7. I've worn them on a couple of warm sunny days without my feet getting hot. That's a big thing for me. They breath just fine.THE CON'S!. Not much insole padding on these. ( Keen's are much better ) The overall support is good but the shoe in general lacks that nice padded feel. It hits rather hard.2. You can't add a thick padded insole because it will interfere with the fit of the shoe. I tried it didn't work.3. I finally added a Dr Scholls foam insole, the thinnest one I could find. It seems to be working but time will tell. That was a $10 hit. So much for trying to save money.4. This was the one star deduction.I hope the shoes get more comfortable as they brake in and the added insoles do not become a problem.Overall these are great shoes for the price.

Nice shoes
I have had these shoes about 3 weeks now and I have to say they are very comfortable in my opinion. They have good arch support and fit perfect right out of the box. First day I put them on I walked a little over 3 miles on various surfaces throughout the corse of a day. I was happy that they did not hurt my feet. Time will tell on how well they will hold up. I WILL update if I have any issues.

Quality
The shoes look and feel great! I walked my dog on roof to rain about 1000 to 1200 miles a year. I need a grippy soul, but I didn’t wanna wear a boot anymore. Look really well-made. Reasonable price.

Great shoes for hiking
Bought these based on reviews and they didn’t disappoint. We used them to hike Glacier National Park and they were comfortable and great for slippery areas (rocks/water). Wore them on a 14 mile all day hike, up and down steep inclines, and my feet did not hurt. They had great traction. We will only buy these going forward!

Love my Merrell's
I have worn Merrell Moab 3 hiking shoes for years, they are always comfortable, long lasting, and durable. Merrell is the only brand of hiking shoe I will buy! (I currently have 3 pairs, 2 are over 5 years old).
