This beachy jewelry box is perfect for the home with coastal decor or the beach lover who wants a daily reminder of days spent with salt water drying on your skin and the smell of the ocean in your hair. Does your wanderlust lead you to the sea? Then you'll love the prints of vintage travel posters decoupaged on the sides and back of the box. The lovely ladies that grace each drawer are from vintage swimsuit sewing patterns. The top of the box has been covered in real sand and sealed with satin varnish to give it a wet sand look. The sand is decorated with freshwater pearls, stone chips, hand painted glass bubbles, Swarovski crystal rhinestones, and polymer clay seashells which are made from molds I've created from shells I've found throughout the years. Because of the way I create the shells, no two will ever be exactly alike. The box itself is made of wood and has been sanded and hand painted with acrylic paint and distressed, then sealed with a satin varnish. The drawers are painted the same and each has a bottom lining of pink cashmere.
