When I'm an Astronaut: Dreaming is Believing: STEM (Inspirational Careers for Kids)

I grabbed this book, when I saw it was free on Kindle. What a great find! Dr. Samantha has done a great job creating a beautifully illustrated book to inspire children, especially young girls, to reach for the stars. When I'm an Astronaut: Dreaming is Believing, has vivid, detailed illustrations that make ME want to go back to school! She even throws in a little whimsy for the kids who love animals, and so clearly shows that realizing your dreams takes hard work and study. I can see her passion in the pages, and was quite amazed when I read her personal story (About the Author), to see how she also, has followed her dream.

This story is simple but very beautiful and inspiring. The illustrations are also out of this world (pun intended). I got the kindle version but plan on getting the hardcover version for my daughters.

They were bright and cheery, but not overdone.The story had good points to make. I bored early by the same repetitive phrase used throughout the book. This is a STEM production and I am all for encouraging both girls and boys with educational paths geared towards science. However, I would have a hard time facially reading this on the fly to a group. I would have to practice and give a performance. The information is there, its just the repetitive question.I would gift this as part of personal one-on-one time with a child, maybe in a grandparents basket. Encouragement is not a solo event.

This beautiful picture book may be directed toward STEM education, but it will reach many others, too. It shows how work and inspiration can take a person toward their dream profession.

My six-year-old daughter asked if she could leave a review because she loved this book and it's her favorite. :)

This was a nice read and the pictures are beautiful! The book length was just right to keep young readers engaged!

My 10 year old granddaughter thought the book was very limited for her . The title didn’t match with material written inside
