My 36 y/o husband and 2 1/2 y/o son love playing with this every day! My son is obsessed with the trash man right now, and he absolutely loves this toy! The arms could definitely break if he were left alone to play with it. It's been dropped off a 3' high table onto a linoleum floor once and survived, but it just barely bent the arms out of place. They were easily bent back into place, but I don't think this could take many falls (if any). It's metal & mostly strong, but the arms are thin and more delicate. There is also a plastic piece connecting the arms which makes it even more delicate. It's a very cool, in depth toy! The intricacy is amazing! So much detail! It even opens up to see the engine. With my husband being with him playing the entire time, it's perfect for our son! He loves to fill the dumpster with rolled up pieces of paper & colored tissue paper, and eagerly waits for my husband to dump it! He giggles with joy every time it gets dumped! He asks to play with this every morning! We paid $40, my husband thinks it's more like a $20 toy, but overall, we're still happy with our purchase.

I really like that this product is durable enough for my three year old yet has moving parts that keep my six year olds interest. They have found so many different ways to play with this. I love that it does not require batteries and leads to open ended play so they play for long periods of time.The product is well designed and built for children. I like that it is very realistic and is made from metal. My children have a large plastic garbage truck that doesn't seem to keep their interest. This one actually allows them to fill the dumpster with garbage and empty it into the truck.I highly recommend this for younger children and it is a great gift idea 😊

It was a great gift for my 4 y.o.son who is abscesses with garbage trucks and who has all kind of garbage trucks. So we bought this one. The quality is good. The details of real truck is great. But it is hard to play with, suspensions for trash bin lifter is hard, my son has to use both hands to lift up and pull down the bin lifter. Maybe it will get better with time, but so far it is really hard. Even for me as an adult it is hard to push up and pull down the garbage bin lifter. But besides that it is a great truck and gift!

this truck is smaller than you might think. I like the detail-the cab opens up to see the engine, the dumpster can be moved over the garbage truck to empty its contents, and other characteristics that I would think are relatively accurate. However, the green panel over the cab keeps coming off and the pistons used for raising the dumpster and opening the back area are VERY resistant to movement. Nothing has broken yet but I am concerned that after a while of exerting so much effort that it's only a matter of time before something breaks.

Really wanted to love this. Purchased two colors in July as a Xmas for our 3-1/2 yr. old grandson, he screamed in delight when opened, however it was broken within two hours. As reviewers mention, the small parts are so stiff, hard to move. While the small parts are intricately made, it’s better suited as a model on the shelf rather than a toy. To dump trash is the goal with this toy and unfortunately, that’s the functionality that’s missing. Super disappointed, though it’s smaller truck, it WAS his favorite Xmas toy.

I bought this truck because my boy loves garbage trucks and we broke it accidentally so I was going to order an identical one that broke until my eye caught this one and I am happy that I did! His previous one was all plastic this one is ALL metal besides the mirrors being plastic so that is a downfall due to they are flimsy but other than that this truck is amazing! The back even opens up! however it has two bars on each side you have to nudge up a little bit to get the back to open but after it is nice! Definitely worth the money!

Received this item as a gift for my son.  He really loves dump trucks and this product did not disappoint for its realistic appearance and use.  The only negative I would say about the product is one of the hinges to the garbage can lid broke almost immediately.  We continue to try to put it back on, but when he dumps it into the truck bin it falls off. He does really love the truck and the design is very well made. Thank you for the opportunity to review the product.

My son was super excited about getting this garbage truck for Christmas. I think it is really nice, but a little small. My husband tried to move one of the movable parts while holding onto a different part of the truck and broke that part. I didn’t want my son to break it, so I set it aside until he is a little older. I find the movable parts to be a little hard to move even for me.
