Natural Crushed Oyster Shell with Calcium (2 lb)

My aquarium had a pH somewhere around the level of coffee. Miraculously, my fish were all fine, but my plants were croaking left and right. Added some of this to the substrate and it brought the pH above 7 overnight. Great natural way to raise pH in your tank.

MIT does the job and helped out greatly

It did warn of the dust and man was it dusty. But it’s to be expected. I got this to breed my rams horn snails. I was unsuccessful until not I just used these shells as substrate and they been alive and well and laying plenty of eggs.

Haven't had them long enough to know if they are doing much good.

I like to mix in my own soil for certain plants. I like adding crushed oyster shells to give newer plants a boost of minerals.

I read that crushed oyster shells would help keep the snails out of my plants but it didn’t work.
