SAMeLQ Liver Support for Dogs - 425 mg (60 chewable Tablets)

They are expensive. But less than half the price the vet was charging me. My dog has been taking these for about 2 months the levels in his liver are dropping. Worth every penny!

My dog had surgery to remove a large liver tumor in 2019.In early 2021, his liver enzymes were extremely high again, x-rays and ultrasounds showed that the cancer had returned and I was told he likely had about three more months to live. The vet also suggest I try giving him SAMeLQ tablets.It is now 15 months later, I still have my dog, and in recent blood work, his liver enzymes were slightly elevated but way down from what they had been so I'm crediting this product for doing it's job and helping to keep his failing liver healthier.I am buying these tablets on Amazon because they are nearly half the price of what the vet charges.

I merchandise has great quality but many of the pills were broken into small pieces. What you pay for these I would hope better protection is taken in the future, ThanksDan Yoches

This product was ordered on the recommendation of my veterinarian after my 12-year-young Australian Cattle Dog was diagnosed with Cushing's disease in February 2017. It is not a "treatment" nor a cure, but is given a half-hour before one of his six daily mini-meals and acts to rest his liver. Along with his six mini-meals (one every four hours) and the Trilostane in a very palatable chicken-flavored liquid suspension that is squirted on his dry kibble (one fifth of a ml every 12 hours), plus one Turmeric capsule daily, he's living a life of quality and is feeling great! Thanks to my vet for his recommendations (though I urge those that have dogs with Cushing's disease to be sure to use the lowest possible amount of Trilostane that's effective, because it acts to tamp down the adrenal glands' production of cortisol; my dog is thriving on a one-fifth dose twice a day) and to Ceva Animal Health for this large chewable tablet that helps! One word of warning: the tablet isn't apparently very tasty, because sometimes my dog gives me "the look" and spits it out, but I encourage him, and he does eat it. SAMeLQ is NOT a substitute for medical treatment, but it is an aid.

My dog has lupus and is on many meds. His liver function had become less than normal and so vet recommended this product together with Milkthistle to improve liver function. His las blood test shows Kiko's liver is again functioning at normal levels.

It’s hard to convince her to take pills but with cushion’s disease she has to have it. Wrapping in cream cheese helps.

My dog tested positive for Valley Fever, although he shows no symptoms of the disease. After he was on the fluconazole for 6 months, the titers dropped from 1:64 to 1:16. My vet recommended a liver supplement, and this is the one that I chose. A recent blood panel showed that his liver # was a little high, but it was being managed by the supplement. So to that extent, this stuff does what it is supposed to do. My vet has recommended that I keep my dog on this and sadly he has to continue the fluconazole as his latest titer results were still 1:16. Hoping for the best!Dec. 2021 - My dog is still on fluconazole and still takes a liver supplement and CBD oil, but his titer is down to 1:4. Sadly, this supplement has gotten too expensive so I am using something else and it too is effective.
