Moshi USB-C Multimedia Adapter, HDMI, USB, SD Card Reader

The hub is working great and is constructed well. I'm very pleased with this. I ran a 1TB file transfer from one external drive to another external drive while also making a 60GB time machine backup and the temperature of the device was very reasonable with slight warming but mild compared to the temperature of the external hard drives themselves. Speed was good, limited by overloading the external drives, then when the 1T file transfer finished the time machine backup went extremely quick. Oh, I also transferred some video from an SD card at the same time, but that went super fast and wasn't in the way. HDMI connection took me a few minutes but that was mostly or completely due to system settings.This is a great device, save yourself some time and go straight for this one. I purchased a $45 hub and had to return it because it would shut my internet connection down every time I plugged it in. Plus that one was made out of extra heavy duty aluminum foil glued into a box shape...The USB-C connection could be a tiny bit snugger. The drive fell out while I was carelessly walking with my laptop while the drive was hanging straight down. It fell 40" and the plastic siding came a bit loose, snapped back into place and is showing no sign of damage or looseness. During normal use the hub doesn't fall out, like while having it dangling off the side of the computer with cables connected.

Why is it so hard to get accessories to work with the Mac? Unnecessary pain. Apple, you are on my last nerve. One step away from PCs and Androids.

I hoped this would be the perfect portable dock for my new MacBook, but it's not. Not even close.1) I found that it was really picky about which USB Lightning cables would actually work to charge my iPhone. There was no rhyme or reason - I had genuine Apple cables that didn't work, and generic cables that did. I can tell you that it's quite frustrating to head out for the day thinking you can charge your phone from your laptop, and then find out that you can't.2) The USB-C connector doesn't fit tightly, and has a tendency to fall out. If you happen to have a USB drive mounted, too bad for you. I have an external drive with a Lightroom catalog on it, and Lightroom just crashes when the disk is unmounted. Oops.Sadly I missed the return window by 5 days, so now I'm stuck with this thing, unless I can find someone to take it off my hands. Hopefully you can avoid my problems.

Does exactly what it needs to do. I'm using with a Lenovo Yoga C940.

It seems to work fine for me. I use it frequently with a Mac Mini to import photos from an SD card. I've used it occasionally with a MacBook to connect to an HDMI projector. The USB connection seems solid enough. Don't know why it gets so many bad reviews here. True, it's a little pricey. There may be cheaper options out there.

This adapter feels very cheaply made. On top of that, for some reason, when this adapter had an HDMI plugged into it(for a second display for my Macbook Pro) it completely slowed my internet to crawl. Bought a different adapter, and I no longer have this problem. This wasn't cheap and still didn't work: pass on this.

Very dodgy build quality, stopped working after less than a month. disappointing given the cost of the product

It started with performance issues (e.g. plugging in a wireless mouse USB slowed down the mouse to the point it was unusable). The HDMI is unstable, it was cutting in and out frequently. After trial-and-error with several components (hubs/cables) figured out it is the Moshi hub itself which is interfering with the signal - that means the internal components are cheaply and poorly manufactured/insulated/assembled. Waste of money, given that there are good products with the same capability from other brands. Don't pick this one over others...

Funciona perfecto. Para tareas básicas, no la he probado para cosas muy demandantes.Perfecto para llevarlo a dónde sea.Los materiales se sienten resistentes.

Gleichzeitig ist die Verpackung wertig und hat alle wichtigen Informationen.Das Gerät ist in passendem spacegrau zu dem Macbook Pro an dem es dient. Alles ist ordentlich verarbeitet und die Schnelligkeit höher als im bisherigen USB-C-Hub. Ich habe die Werte mal im Alltag verglichen, Dateien kopieren auf den gleichen Stick bzw. SD-Karte funktioniert deutlich schneller als im bisher verwendeten. USB-C-Stecker sitzt fest im Macbook, SD-Karten und USB-Sticks merkt man den sicheren Sitz im Gerät an.Man kann das Kabel bei Nichtverwendung praktisch in dem Hub verstauen.Das HDMi-Kabel passt ebenfalls sehr gut in den Adapter und die Auflösung ist ohne Beanstandung, schnell und sowohl Audio als auch Video werden einwandfrei übertragen. Es hat eine Buchse für einen "mittleren" HDMi-Stecker (Typ-C/Mini), es unterstützt Highspeed-HdmI (machen nicht alle!)Alles in allem ein sehr wertiges und schickes Helferlein am Mac - und neuerdings auch am IPad pro. Es soll funktionieren, aber ich habe es selbst mangels neuem Ipad pro noch nicht testen können.Bei dem Preis eigentlich ein wirklich wichtiges Zusatzteil am Mac.

Ho comprato questo adattatore per il mio nuovo macbook pro 2018. non mi fidavo di quelli che si inseriscono sfruttando le due porte thunderbolt e devo proprio dire di avere fatto un ottimo acquisto. Non scalda, e sia le porte USB che la porta schede sd funzionano perfettamente, per non parlare dell'hdmi che trasferisce perfettamente il segnale al mio monitor 4k; nessuno sfarfallio nessun problema. acquistate fiduciosi è un ottimo adattatore e diffidate dalle cineserie da quattro soldi... ricordatevi che dovete collegarle ad un mac da oltre 2000 euro.
