We were getting a creosote for. My husband did several cleaning type things including brushing then used this with first fire. Knock on wood( no pun intended) so far so good.Read/follow the directions. Easy to use

I think it helps to prevent fires in chimneys
I use this when fire in chimneys season is over and when it starts. Some firefighter friend recommend it to me. Fire in the chimney is real, and can be prevented. Delivered fast. Better price then stores and other items on Amazon.

just not as good as another brand
prices for these creosote logs vary. this brand is good, just didn't perform the cleaning as well as another leading brand. the fireplace was inspected and approved for using but was dirty enough to warrant the use of the products.
