Simple and Effective
Purchased this camera to keep an eye on my house while off on vacation. It took just a couple of minutes to set it up and the camera worked flawlessly. I had someone come to my house to water the plants a couple of time while I was gone and the camera's motion detection picked them up each time alerted me with a notification on my phone. Both the recorded videos and real-time video is quick, simple and reliable. As a side benefit, the camera served as a notification of power failure in the house when the app notified me of the camera going offline. All in all, a great product at a good price.

Its the IFTTT that sets the Oco Hd apart.
Ive tried or still have the following products..Oco HD,Canary+Flex,Honeywell Lyric and the D-Link Omna 180...The Canary Flex ,its Night Vision was hands down the best of all the others,as was its Geo Fence, did not have a memory card slot but until they went back on their agreement to provide 24hrs of cloud storage it was superior to all the others.,now its a paper weight. Before the loss of cloud storage 4Stars,now...Avoid it,unless you want to pay a monthly fee..The D-Link Omna was the worst by far, night vision, sound, homekit nothing worked correctly.I returned it to Apple..0Stars...The Honeywell Lyric 3Stars and the Oco Hd 3 1/2Stars,work about the same ,night vision is awful ,only sees when someone is inches away.I use the sound to detect movement which works well on both. What the Oco has over the rest is IFTTT ,it provides a superior Geo Fence to the Lyric which has problems...All of these models except the D-Link have good quality video except the Omna’s,its terrible...The apps all do mostly the same things, the Canarys being the simpliest to use...Knowing what I do now I would buy the Oco HD over the others unless the Canary had the free cloud storage or a Micro SD slot. Its the IFTTT that makes it the obvious choice.Little difference in Hardware except the Canarys Night Vision and Geo Fence being the best of the lot.

Satisfied with purchase but you get what you pay for
Pros: I really like the size and overall appearance of the camera. It looks like a small desktop speaker and blends in well when placed anywhere one would expect to see a set of speakers such as a media center or night stand. The mounting system is super easy. And so far both cameras I purchased are working (most of the time). The image is clear and better than I expected especially in low light and IR. The app (Ivideon) is good. While it could be a bit more robust it does the job and is intuitive. What I really love about Ivideon is I'm not locked into a proprietary system. I can purchase numerous other cameras from multiple manufacturers in the future and the app can integrate them all into one simple to use and secure platform. Other brand's apps gave me some security concerns with the permissions they wanted where Ivideon's permissions are reasonable. The IFTTT integration is also a huge selling point and really makes up for most of the features I thought were lacking with Ivideon. We opted to sign up for the cloud subscription which is reasonably priced compared to others I researched such as Arlo and The Nest. We also installed SD cards which only fuction as a fail-safe if our WiFi goes out. It would be a huge benefit if you could continuously record with the card but I knew that wasn't an option at the time of purchase so I'm not going to list it as a con. Lastly, the sound detection is amazing. Even at 25% sensitivity, we found during testing that sound events were more consistently triggered than motion ones.Cons: Set up was a bit funky for one camera. The first took less than 60 seconds from opening the app to having a functioning security camera as advertised. The second camera really struggled to find our WiFi connection and I considered returning it. But now that it's connected it hasn't lost signal and it actually senses motion better than the other one. We actually had to move the first camera closer to the door otherwise it wouldn't pick up the motion of us coming and going at all. Now that it's about 10 feet away, it's picking it up the motion about 80% of the time. But the sound of the door opening triggers the record event 100% of the time so I still feel secure enough to not return the camera. And neither camera we received is great at sensing motion in low light unless you pass directly in front of it within about 10 feet. Interestingly enough one camera did fail completely at picking up the sound and motion of my husband letting our dogs out the back door once but the camera on the other side of the house picked up the sound and began recording. That so far is the only worrisome event we've encountered and I wonder if the camera had turned off (I address this later) or lost connection momentarily because it picked up my husband letting the dogs in just a few minutes later. It would be nice if it had a swivel option as well. It only tilts forward and back (and rotates on it's mount) making the ideal mounting position a bit tough to find in some situations. I've also found the cameras shut off or turned on randomly on more than one occasion. I even removed my husband's permission to control the cameras just in case he had somehow been opening the app and changing their status by mistake. With IFTTT I was able to set up a reliable notification to let me know if the camera status changed so at least I can and turn them back on remotely if need be but it's still a con. The Ivideon app also offers a push notification for status change but I found it to be less reliable than the IFTTT notification.Final thoughts: You get what you pay for. This was our first purchase in home surveillance and we did a lot of research before deciding to buy into the Oco system, specifically two of these cameras. A lot of the problems or concerns I have reported aren't anomalies and others have said the same things in their own reviews. For what we paid, I'm happy with our purchase. They are truly afforadable and even the higher end systems have similar negative feedback as these. Unless these just fail miserably and stop working completely in the future I'll probably buy more Oco cameras for our home.

Very good camera at a very low cost
Very good option for monitoring your home in full light and in complete darkness. This is a low cost camera that you can add with some technical capability. In addition, if you encounter technical issues, they have one of the best help desks I have ever worked with. They answer within 3 rings with a live person!!Potential challenge: it only connects to 2.4 Ghz wifi antenna. You will need to know how to do that by disabling the 5 Ghz antenna in your wifi or work with their help desk to walk you through the options for connecting it to your 2.4 Ghz network.I have installed several of these cameras and they work well providing clear pictures and notifications of any sound disturbances or motion detection in your monitored areas. I also like the option to talk to the person in the room through the camera. The app is also easy to use and has nice features such as being able to turn cameras on and off, turning notifications on and off, renaming the cameras etc.

Lacks sensitivity
Camera arrived quickly and in good shape via Amazon Prime. Camera setup was easy once an account with Ivideon was established. Unknown, as only the 'free' service is mentioned, is that there are 2 subscription plans. Given the limitations of the free plan, make sure it meets your expectations and needs prior to purchasing this camera. The camera I received is very insensitive to movement. I need to pass/approach to within 10 feet before it will send a notification and start recording. With the free plan the length of the recording is very short and it will not rearm until a longer than anticipated timeout period has occurred as it assumes anything within that period is the same event. However, the video quality is very good. It is not suitable for my intended use.

Good HD camera for home use
I needed some indoor camera to monitor my front-door entrance since we share it with the renters. This camera fully satisfied my requirements:- It is very easy to install. I've downloaded an iVideon app, which generated me some QR code to scan with the camera, and basically, that's it.- It has a live mode, so I can see the entrance when I am at work.- It has "Motion-detect" feature (I set it to "low sensitivity" because it seemed to react to flies when set on "high").- I have IFTTT account, so configured advanced alerts (small 10 sec. video come to my email, switch on the front light when the motion is detected, etc.).- It has pretty good night-vision and wide angle view.- The cord is surprisingly long (9 ft.), which is just enough to connect it where I want.- It has a metallic mount (you can see it in the picture) to screw it to the wall.Overall I am very pleased with the camera and may add another one.

Great value, packs a lot for a small cam
I bought a couple of "smart cams" before, and shipped back most of them. Kept this one. This is in fact a re-brand of a Dahua cam, specifically re-cased and reNATed through iVideon cloud and marketed "OCO". It was first marketed as Nobelic. These are all good things if you know what you are buying: a very good camera, sold at low margin, in the hope you will subscribe to iVideon cloud storage for 4$/month per cam.So you can get gDMSS very good Dahua app, and their Smart PSS Windows soft. There are 2 possible streams, first being up to 1080x960 in H264, 2nd being VGA in encoding you can set, which can be MJPG for easy integration to a web site or security dashboard (ActionTiles, etc). For those reviews saying night vision is not as good as others it's because they did not set the proper dynamic range. There is a very good HDR mode on this cam to get more details from the dark areas or backlit objects/people, being night or day.Nothing of this is documented. I figured it by connecting to the camera IP with a Chrome extension. There are tons of powerful possibilities such as recording to an FTP server, a LAN drive, etc. But if you want to access recordings away, you must record on the SD card. You can fine tune motion detection and mask certain areas (so people complaining about wrong detection just did not know how) There are weird default settings though: a weekly scheduled reboot and 1080x720res. Mine is perfect at 1080x960 but I have a very good Wi-Fi.I first chose this cam because of its integration to IFTTT, I ended keeping it for all its powerful capacities. I've set a IFTTT geofencing recipe to turn on/off motion notifications. My only gripe is that the recordings are not published fast enough even if they are on the SD. It takes a good 5 minutes to be able to see what happened after a notification. Though you can see live almost real time with about 3 to 7s delay. The other shady practice is the purposely obfuscated limit between iVideon app settings and the -need- to enroll into cloud recording. There is also a good part of the app screen that is permanently there to ask you to subscribe.

random disconnects - cameras go offline for no apparent reason.
I bought this camera to monitor my 1 year old baby and sadly it failed. Video quality was good but random disconnects - cameras go offline for no apparent reason.

Super fast install, ready to use in a minute
Super easy and fast to install. The set up literally takes a minute. Easy to mount on the wall or shelf. Great to use as a portable baby monitor as well as a hidden nanny camera. Very compact and light, can even use it while traveling as long as there is WiFi

Cheap manufacturing and horrible customer service after the sale.
Poor quality, cheap manufacturing, and horrible customer service from "Oco". I don't recommend buying this item
