There is no practical comparison to ridding flies from your home. Not only does the bug*a*salt effectively disable the flies, it satisfies a primal hunting urge.Easy to use( Besides the dreaded safety you have to turn after every discharge). A direct hit 6 -8 inches away will terminate an average fly. A glancing shot or further distance will render it unable to fly and easy to follow up with a double tap.A thicker grain salt is recommended, otherwise you'll just pepper the fly if not close enough.Advanced User Tips:- follow the flys pattern and lead it 2 inches to drop it out of the sky-(not recommended) sometimes a fly will only land on your arms and legs. I have resorted to shooting them off of my extremities. It would be wise to distance the tip of the barrel as far away as possible to ensure a welt is not received.- (not advised) I have heard rumors that bug*a*salt can be opened and the safety disabled....(not that I would ever try that )

We love this salt gun. Loading the salt is very easy. It has a safe button which is good, especially if you have smaller kids. In order to get a instant shot, you have to be pretty close to the fly. It will take practice and sometimes more than once. It’s fun to use, but you might have salt all over the place. 😅

We purchased with the red dot laser and love the “fly gun” as we call it. The accuracy is great and efficiently of killing flies that come into our house. Just need to sweep often because salt is left on the floor quite often.

Purchased bug a salt. This is first one I purchased through Amazon had purchased 2 prior through Cabellas and gave to my Son's for their patio. Decided I needed one for my patio and around the hot tub. Order came quickly and being familiar with the gun through previous purchases I had trouble getting it to work initially. I contact the seller, got an immediate response with instructions what to try. The problem was my mistake in operation, they modified the gun from the previous version I was familiar with and the safety switch needs to be disengaged each time you pump the gun - a smart safety feature they added. The gun works GREAT. I use a bit coarser Kosher salt and have been able to kill Carpenter Bees with it.

So, the reviews made it pretty clear not to buy a knock off, but to get the real deal. I bought the Reverse Yellow 2.5 for my brother-in-law for his birthday and he loved it, but before too long it stopped cocking. Of course it was right after 30 days that this happened, so I contacted Bug-a-Salt directly and they promptly replied to my email despite their warnings that they're backed up and may take a few days to respond. They sent me a claim form for me to describe the problem and encouraged using video of possible. We'll, I did all the above and before I knew what was going on, I had a replacement gun. Fantastic! What a great company. I wish more companies were like them. Highly recommended!

We had a housefly problem, and I wanted to go for one of the more elaborate tools to solve the problem, the bug-a-salt.There is definitely a degree of entertainment value. The system does propel grains of salt from the hopper, peppering a small area with low velocity mini-death. My dog liked helping clean up.The bugs themselves did not appear to mind unless pegged at less than 6" range.

Curiosamente quiero matar pequeñas plagas pero cuando la voy a utilizar nunca encuentro uno para dispararle.Jajajajajaja.Adecuada para tiempo de calor pero en tiempo de frio la sal absorbe la humedad y funciona un poco mal pero tiene solución.

Llevo 2 semanas utilizando este curioso juguete, es divertido y funciona sin problemas, tiene un buen alcance y el laser que incluye es muy util. Muy recomendada para pasar un rato de diversión y evitar a las moscas.Algo que no me agradó y es el motivo porque el que no le doy 5 estrellas es porque llegó usado, ya tenia restos de sal dentro de la tapita donde se rellena, pero fuera de eso esta sin daños por lo que decidí no devolverlo, supongo que en aduana debieron usarlo ya que siempre que compro profuctos por amazon eu llegan en perfectas condicones.

Excelente manera de controlar las moscas en la casa a distancia. Además de muy divertido
