Great bulb for green screen work
I use these bulbs in 24 inch softboxes that came with a green screen kit. They are not daylight balanced and will appear much warmer than direct sunlight. They work very well if they are the only source of light, if they are not, you will run into issues trying to color match. I also use one or two softboxes for interview style video. One key light with the 250watt and often a feathered 500watt in a second softbox for fill. Overall, I've taken these things across the country in checked bags and they have survived the trip. They don't last long so I will buy a new one for each job just to be sure, but so far they have been great (I've purchased about a dozen over the last 4 years).

Good bulbs, good price
I use these bulbs in my Kopycake projector and they last forever. Now, I tend to leave the machine on continuously if I am working on a project, and I believe turn it on and off repeatedly shortens the bulb life considerably. I get many more than 40 hours out of each bulb and the prices here are cheaper than my local photography shop.

Photolight
The Eiko Supreme ECA Photoflood Light Bulb is the only brand photo light I have ever used. All photo lights are too expensive and do not last very long. It seems to be the nature of the beast. The bulb works as it was designed; I get great photos of small jewelry for my portfolio. Little more can be said about a simple thing which does its job. I recommend this light for your photo needs.

wow
It was about 230am and the city was dark. I live on a beach so it get's pretty dark. In the early morning hours, i make t-shirts. Well it was my first time doing it and I sat in my room testing the bulb. When I turned it on, the city lit up. It was as if the sun was rising over the water. I literally watched my neighbors get out of bed and get ready for work thinking it was 7am. This thing is so bright, I lit up the dark side of the moon. I saw shit I've never seen beforeWe're living in the dark people! I'm pretty sure I reached out to an alien civilization millions of light years away (yes, this light bulb goes faster than light). I'm now reviewing this from my new spaceship.

Work Okay
I order the wrong watt, I wanted 500w but this light does okay and the price wasn't bad so, I guess it's not a bad product.

As of now the bulbs are working fine. When you first get them you will think that they are blown, they rattle really bad just like a blown bulb. Some may bebut you will have to try them. My first order of 6 five were badbut the company did replace them.

Puzzled..last 2 I bought didn't work
I don't know what's going on with these bulbs..I have a soft box I use for photography. Normally, these bulbs work great in my soft box..it's why I've ordered them again and again .However, the last 2 I ordered, failed to work! 1 of them just blew right off the bat, as soon as I turned the light on. The other won't work for even a second. I had to go back to an older bulb that doesn't have much life left in it, to get my work done.Eiko, can you enlighten us as to what's going on with these bulbs now?

Not the brand I requested.
When I received the bulbs, I knew 1st hand they weren't the brand that I ordered. I have a lighting kit which requires that I use the exact same bulbs provided. The brand that came with the kit are by Eiko Supreme. I placed an order expecting Eiko bulbs, but when I received them, they were by Sylvania. These bulbs looked cheap. Soon after I put both bulbs in my kit, they blew out. I called the company and they replaced one bulb. I put the new bulb into my kit which resulted in the same problem. They blew out again. I am very unhappy with my purchase.
