Ok, let me start by saying that I did not expect it to fit an actual real banana. Put some bananas on the grocery order just to see if it works. My daughter pulled the first banana off the bunch and it fit right in!Ok, so, I didn't exactly buy these to hold bananas, but I did buy them to hold snacks such as nuts and bits of cheese or fresh small veggies. I might possibly put them in a baggie if I planned to travel with the banana keeper. There are breather- holes and straps. I'm using this to measure out enough food for a diet. For example, a person with a gastric sleeve (vsg) has a stomach "the size of a banana" so, if the food fits in this container, it shouldn't over-fill a small stomach. It is difficult to measure the size of a banana, especially when you aren't allowed to eat one (too sweet, too many carbs, etc) but, as you can see in the pictures - a random banana from the grocery store (picked by a shopper who had no clue we were expecting a certain size) fits perfectly inside the container! Using this, along with my skinnypatch vitamins for weightloss should emulate a weightloss surgery ~ as long as I fill it with healthier high protein, lower carb foods and snacks. (3×a day) But, we'll see. Right now, I'm only in the beginning of the home-experiment phase!I have used them at home, they were top-rack dishwasher safe, easy to wipe clean, sturdy, effective closure. Not cheap thin plastic, it is actually pretty heavy duty and takes a bit of grip to open (secure).I can't believe I've written this much about a plastic banana! 🍌

These banana holders are fantastic! The three pack allowed me to have one for my book bag at work, was able to gift one to a favorite coworker, and I have another one for my guy. No more bruised or smashed up bananas in my backpack.

If you happen to have a banana that is the correct size and shape, these work great, although they are a bit hard for my kids to open. I would say at least 25% of the bananas we tried just don't fit in, though. Bananas come in different shapes and sizes and the fact that you get 3 containers, all different colors, but all the same size really feels like a missed opportunity to me. It's a real shame that each of the 3 containers aren't all just a little different from each other. It would only take a minor variance on length and curve between the 3 and you could probably fit 99% of all bananas in at least 1 of them.For the 75% (ish) of bananas that DO fit, these do a fantastic job--even with jostling and bumping, the bananas I've packed in here have arrived at their culinary destination almost unscathed. It's certainly a vast improvement over packing bananas "naked", which is what I've always done before.Oh, and for the record, everyone in my family wants the yellow one and nobody wants the pink one. Myself included.

This product fits about half the bananas that you will find at your local grocery store. Only the smaller bananas on the outside of the bunch tend to fit (ding one star). The inner bananas tend to be too long and straight. Also these are a bit funky to get open, especially for children (ding another star). They do however prevent a significant amount of (but not all) bruising when you are carrying a banana in a lunch box. For what you get the price is reasonable.

These sort of look like a novelty item. That was my impression when i opened them a few moments back. They are firm and the clasp holding them together looks and feels like it won't randomly open. But the test awaits. You see, the kid is a complainer. Likes bananas but doesn't like them getting squished or blackened. She is out the now and I have set up a banana in a keeper for when she gets back. She is either going to love it or decide it's daft. Could go either way.The banana fit perfectly. And I will update when she returns to scrutinize it...Update for when the kid came home. She thinks I'm mental but she likes it and she is happy. 5 star rating stands

I so wanted this item to work because it was for my son to take to school but it was very difficult to open it even for me. Also, only skinny and smaller bananas fit well in it, if the banana is too thick it won’t fit properly and you end up with a squashed banana.

For everyone looking at this thinking "What would I use this for?", listen up...Let me preface by saying that I do not use the included lanyards and cannot provide an opinion on their quality, durability, etc. I am only reviewing the cases themselves....Have you ever stuck a banana in your backpack only to find that its made its way to the bottom, is now smashed, and has ruined your lunch and your backpack??? This product solves that problem by keeping your banana secure from anything smashing it.Have you ever stuck a banana in a cooler for a long day in the sun, only to find it bruised, soggy, or brown by the time you're ready to eat it? This product solves that problem by blocking direct contact to the ice and preventing damage. ***please note there are airholes in the banana cases so water will still effect your banana, keep on top of cooler to avoid submerging and getting a soggy 'nana***The only con I would give this item is that sometimes I really struggle to get them open (latches can be hard to separate)...but once I do, there is my perfect banana waiting for me. Also, your friends may razz you about them, as mine have, but they're all just jealous that my bananas are well kept.If you're looking at this product, you've made the right decision. Just add them to your cart already...

This product was really good. It came with a pack of 3, and you just cannot beat the price. And it comes in 3 cute colours. It doesn't fit all banana sizes, but majority of banana's will fit. For those that don't just clip one end in, and it will make sure your banana arrives safely to wherever you are going.Shipping took about 3-weeks. That could have been improved.

Great to use for lunch bags and diaper bags. Bananas stay safe from squishing. Fits medium to small bananas, but haven't really had an issue with fit (occasionally will trim the stem to get the banana to fit).

I liked it. Good for protecting banana.
