3-year old lover of ships just adores these. They're simple and cheap, but they do work, and work fairly well. They have pull-back-and-release self propulsion which works just fine. Little rubber wheels are plenty grippy, but do need smooth hard surfaces.Yes, they're cruise ships NOT designed for WATER. LOL. But that's OK. We have enough tub toys. These allow the little toddlers who love ships to have a cruise ship model and the response is great. We happen to live near enough to the world's second busiest port for cruise ships, and our toddler loves them - so if he likes these little cheap model ships too, then the toy is a success.Definitely RECOMMEND these. (But not for water - keep them on tabletop and hard floors.) Good toys!

I wanted to give all of my children and grandchildren an ornament to remember the cruise we are all going on this summer. I did not want to spend a lot so made these toy ships into ornaments and wrote the year of the cruise on them.
