Definitely Biodegradable
We use these in our countertop scrap bin. It sees all kinds of stuff from veggies to coffee grounds. If we have a slow week and don't get the bag out to our compost bin, the bags do start to break down a bit. It's not that big a deal, as we can just take the whole pail out, but it is something of which to be aware. They fit well and hold up great in the house under normal conditions.

Tears easily
I'm moderately satisfied with these bags; they serve their purpose and fit my small compost bin. However, I've noticed that egg shells have a tendency to tear the bags. And for whatever reason, I've also noticed my compost bin itself is wet when I change out bags (not enough of a moisture barrier?).I won't buy them again because of the tearing issue, but I'm stuck with 90 more of them to get through.

They changed for the worse in my opinion
I first bought these bags in July 2018 and loved them, so when I ran out in March 2020 I clicked the 'Buy it Again' button. What arrived was a completely different product from 2 years ago. They are much thicker, and the perforation area attaching the bags together is much harder to tear than before. It is difficult to distinguish the top from the bottom, and it is difficult to get open once I've determined where the top is - so much so that I often second-guess my determination that it is the top. The previous thinner bags were very easy to deal with, and I miss them. They occasionally 'blew out' at the bottom, but that's the nature of compost bags if you let them sit with compost in them for several days. I believe they made these newer bags thicker in an attempt to deal with complaints of them being too thin, but I believe they went too far in the redesign. I really don't like these new bags, and will be buying a different brand next time.

Quality control issue?
The first order of these worked perfectly for us. The second and third order however, isn’t so great. The bags are still durable but you end up wasting bags when trying to tear off a new bag. When you seperate the bag to open it tears and is a challenge to tear along the perforated segments without tearing. It is a small annoyance I am aware, but impossible not to waste bags due to this flaw and with a product that is purchased to save on the environmental impacts I am left with disappointment. Like I said, the first order roughly a year ago worked perfectly. Somewhere along the production of these products it has gotten worse. Could be a quality control issue that is an easy fix, but it is enough of an issue for me to review less than favorably on a product that means well in environmental impacts. I am hopeful of the company looking further into this. Since it was my second and third order it wasn’t a fluke on one roll as I had two rolls that were purchased at different times with the same issue.

Thankful for a non-plastic option
I was glad to find this product for a reasonable price on Amazon. It's important to try to use less plastic! Yes, they are less sturdy. But you won't feel bad about emptying your trash can more often, because you'll know you aren't adding yet another plastic bag to the trash stream.

Make it a little smaller
These work great. I just wish they they were a third of the size. Waste just bothers me. You really can't put anything big into them anyway. Just my thoughts and it doesn't mean the bag has any issues.

Way too thin!
These are horrible! They tear when putting them in compost canister. Double bagged them and still made a mess. Way too thin!

Works, could be stronger
Used as compost bucket liner. Works OK but could be stronger. Perforations between bags on the roll are poor. You must be very careful when tearing a bag from the roll or you will shred the top of the next bag on the roll. They do decompose in the compost pile.
