I was a naysayer converted to believer
I am in the camp with all the first impression naysayers that think a 21” wide unit will take forever. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos that actually changed my mind so I pulled the trigger on this unit WITH the attachment option. The attachment option is very important as this unit needs to be securely attached to the frame of you wheeler and not just slid into a receiver, it creates a bunch of downforce and I can easily see it bending factory installed receivers as they are designed to pull not be forced upwards. That being said, this unit works, it actually works, you can go much faster than a tiller so it does cut down on perceived time. It will fluff soil in existing food plots from previous years as long as they’ve been sprayed and mowed, and, I had a new plot that I sprayed and mowed but wanted to see if it would break the tough virgin sod topsoil, it took longer than pre existing plots which I expected, but after the initial cutting of the sod, repeated trips over and over it actually made it fluffy and looking like a plot that had been in place for years. I’m am now a believer in this little unit.

Did a fair job. Best for smaller garden plots.
Worked fairly well but discs kept getting dirt build up so stopped frequently to clear out. Very sturdy.

Good product
Ok so I wanted to do a food plot.and I've looked at many horrows and plows and did so called research by watching YouTube videos.and decided to purchase this plow with the mounting kit.it wasn't really hard to put together just read directions and go for it.so I took it too the woods I went through the mud and the muck and reached my area.oh and yes you'll need to 4x4's cut on a 45 degree so that you'll be able to mount your plow properly at a just depth for plowing.this thing really does a splendid job at around 7mph.you can always dig a small ditch to lower it even more.for a deeper cut.i would strongly recommend this product to anyone wanting to plow a hidey hole food plot.it also tucks as pictured for the ride through the woods

What a joke
My wife bought me the Groundhog Max with the installation kit. I have a 2014 Polaris sportsman 550 with a 1 1/2 receiver hitch. No problem I am told this plow comes with a universal 2 inch conversion kit. Well guess what? It doesn’t work at all on my ATV. I called Groundhog support and the man told me that their kit works on all atvs. I tried installing the kit like he said (See photos below) as you can see there is nowhere to attach the end of the bar. He told me to drill a hole in the plastic and find something to clamp it to using a hose clamp. I looked around and there was nothing solid to do that. So I sent him photos of my problem and of course he more or less blew me off.He said call me if there is a problem. I did and I got a talk on how to use the plow..REALLY? So what I did next was purchase a 1/1/2 to 2 inch hitch converter. I thought cool, now I can plow my food plot. WRONG. I get out to my hunting property and get the plow on with this converter that I found for sale on their web page and as you can see in the photo it bent it after a couple of passes on my food plot. So next I try buying a 2 inch hitch replacement. I get that and it doesn’t fit my ATV at all. So now I am out 375 bucks for the Groundhog max plow, 50 bucks for the hitch converter and 75 bucks for the hitch replacement. I finally called it quits and took my tiller to my hunting property and plowed my food plot with that. So now I am stuck with a Groundhog max plow that is worthless and I am out over 400 bucks. My advice to anyone considering the Groundhog Max plow. Save your money on this one. It is a big joke.

Seemed great for the few feet I was able to go
LINHAI users BEWARE! Does not work on my Linhai 400 UTV. Even at the highest setting it's to deep for the UTV to move, even in 4wd. Got stuck in couple minutes. Guess the receiver hitch is to low, and a 400 is not strong enough. THEY SHOULD TELL YOU THAT IN THEIR AD!!! Seemed great for the few feet I was able to go, and it hooked right up without rigging which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1.

Purchase Plow with Kit if using a quad
I purchased the plow with the optional receiver kit. The kit install was easy but somewhat Skill-Billy in its design. After reading reviews I would recommend the kit for the thin metal Polaris frame. The unit was towed behind a 2016 Polaris Sportsman 570. It performed better than I expected. I plowed 1/3 of an acre in under an hour. I hit several roots and the unit held together. I recommend.

The ground hog works great, however the hitch kit that says fits a 2016 honda rancher.....well it fits terribly. I had to buy the hitch from another maker. Now I'm stuck with the one I bought from Ground Hog.

Disc is bullet proof ...mounting kit very basic
Ok tough product. I use it often on hobbie farm. I have a 06 Honda rancher. Mounting kit ...I'm not impressed. I made a rock solid mount for a 2" hitch reciever. But the disk man o man she's solid. And I dont treat my farm equipment nice . It's tough its heavy it's a good disc . And some of mounting hardware I used. But my hitch involved a welder and a raising and lowering system simular to 3 point hitch. Did I say disc was HEAVY duty.
