I've been wearing cowboy hats for over 75 years. About half of my western toppers have stampede strings, a requirement for their outdoor use in all kinds of weather.These stampede strings are a simple but elegant product that not only add the important function of keeping my hat where it belongs, but they also add a touch of class to a moderately priced Stetson.

I had another one like this one and I love it. Very easy to put on hat. Great value.

It's a bit long but it can be adjusted in various ways with a bit of thick sewing string and bending up the excess length and tie them together. I just wrapped the excess together but you might be able to sew the excess together. It would be nice if they could keep the same over all length but add some sort of ability to adjust the length along the straight part of the strap. For example, a couple of rubber loops that two separate ends could be pulled through or something. Otherwise nice.

Put this on my grand daughters cowboy hat for when it gets windy out there on the bridle trail. It seems sturdy enough, and was easy to install on her hat. It is plenty long enough for her. The slider is also sturdy. So no complaints; and it wasn't expensive compared to some others for sale.

It's so nice looking, exactly what I wanted to keep my Sunbody hat on my head, love this very much! Only downside is, it's scratchy on the sides of my face. Not sure how that could be avoided since it's real horsehair. This does the job and it looks very cool.

LOVE it, this product is exactly what I was expecting. Good quality, nice workmanship, perfect length for what I wanted, fits my hat, was easy to attach, kept my hat on in a strong wind, looks just like the photo. I am very pleased and was even more surprised by the early delivery!
