THREE CHINOS
I ordered and received 3 pairs of ChinosAll the same day. Here are the results1 ~ IZOD Men's American Chino Flat Front Pant, Black, 36W x 32LThese are 100% Cotton and fit exactly the same as all my 36W x 32 L Wrangler jeans. love them. Perfect fit, perfect weight of fabric and all cotton. The perfect Chino.2 `~ Amazon Essentials Men's Classic-Fit Wrinkle-Resistant Flat-Front Chino Pant 36 x 32These are 60% Cotton, 40% Polyester and fit TIGHTER than the Izod. The fabric is of the same thickness as the IZOD. My main complaint is they fit too tight and the waist rolls over. That doesn't happen wtih the IZOD3 ~ Dickies Men's Original 874 Work Pant 36 x 32 These are 65% Polyester/35% Cotton. The fabric of this product is MUCH thicker than the IZOD and the Amazon Essentials. More like a thin Bluejean than a Chino. The MAIN problem is, I CAN'T GET THESE ON. The fit is SO tight I cannot CLOSE them no matter what I do. I tried lying on my bed, letting all my breath out and I STILL can't close them. This is REALLY a pathetic fit. As I said, I bought ALL three items on the same day and tried them before and after one washing for fit.SO, in my opinion, because of the VERY TIGHT FIT and the coarse and thicker fabric, I would say STAY AWAY from this item. The Amazon Essentials are good. Just wish the fit was a little looser in the waist compared to what they sent. The BEST of the bunch is the IZOD Men's American Chino Flat Front Pant. PERIODThe Dickies and Amazon brand are about 20 bucks each,The IZOD is $25 bucks.GO FOR THE EXTRA 5 BUCKS! and get the IZOD.

Dickies Quality!
Thick, durable material. I bought these for my son to wear to work. He's 6'1" & wears a 50X32. They look nice enough to wear as business casual or for hard core outdoor work. He bends and squats a lot during his day at work and he said they don't stretch or give much room, so I bought him a size larger and he said they felt a little more roomy, which helps with his movement at work. I've washed them several times already and they're still pretty stiff. My son is a big man, and I have no worries about these pants ripping or busting a seam while he's wearing them. I'll buy them again, no doubt.

Waistband rolls, doesn't look great.
The pants seem durable and fit pretty well if a bit snug in the seat. The problem for me is that when seated at my desk, the waistband consistently rolls forward, exposing the white fabric behind, which makes it REALLY apparent. I don't have a particulary narrow belt (shown in picture), so I'm not sure why they roll so much when other pants I've owned with similar fit do not. Won't be buying these again, even though the price is great and material/durability seems ideal.

Good quality work slacks with a few minor cons.
1st I would like to say that I have purchased Dickies 874 pants many times from stores before but not online. I have always been pleased with them with a few minor gripes.I do like these pants but have had to learn to care for them a bit differently to keep them in good shape. The 1st thing I would say is they will be stiff until you have washed them a couple of times. The material becomes more pliable over time. It really is sturdy material. Not quite as heavy as good blue jeans but much more durable than normal dress slacks.I am having to resize my jean purchases because of a surgery that now requires me to wear all pants a bit differently than I used to. So I needed all new larger pants. It's been a real hassle trying to figure out men's jean sizes as the manufacturers all seem to have lost the ability to actually measure the actual size they are putting out. I actually wear a size 56 now. But I've noticed manufacturers are putting size 56 jeans out that can actually range anywhere from 52" to 60". Apparently, quality control and quality workmanship is gone in most factories now.Since many people here in the comments said what they got are way too small, I ordered a size 58. (2" bigger than my actual size). I knew they would be too long and would need hemming up. I expect that. But when I got the size 58", they were 2" too big for me. I measured them and they were 58.25" with exactly a 30" inseam. So for me, I have now had to order my real size of 56 to hopefully get 56". So I think body size and shape of each person determines whether they need bigger or not. Big people like me come in different sizes and shapes even within the size. I highly advise you measure exactly where your pants will sit on your waist to know at least what you should need. Also if you have pants that fit you right, measure the waist size and inseam to verify ACTUAL pant sizes rather than what the manufacturer states is the size.In my case, ordering the exact size I needed would have been better. But Dickies did provide the right size of material as ordered so I can't blame them for this mistake. It was mine for ordering too big. I have ordered my exact waist size as I should have in the first place. This confusion is why I often shop in stores instead. It's hard trying something on 1st online. There is another issue that does really bug me a lot about the 874 jeans. The belt loops are plentiful and nicely wide. However they are sewed too tightly against the waistband with no slack and are way too tight for even normal width and thickness of belts. I normally would be able to thread one of my belts through easily on most jeans. These jeans belt loops are so tight, I have to struggle to get even a thinner belt through the loops. And forget about having some overlap of the excess belt end being tucked in the front loop near the buckle. Can't get any belt I own to tuck the excess belt under the first loop. The loops can't hardly take the belt under the loops the first pass let alone the excess belt needing to also go under the first loop. This means I'll have to have something holding the few inches of excess belt length down in the front. It also means its almost a necessity to thread your belt on BEFORE you put on your pants.I've used this brand and type of pants for some time and have found another thing to mention is the fading of the darker colored ones. They do fade, usually slowly over months of time. But when they do, its often in specific places that make the pants look like there are white dirt or wear patches on them instead of evenly fading. Because of this, these pants will start out as office uniform pants and a few months later end up being only everyday wear due to these fading areas not looking good. They fade faster, the warmer the water you use. If you use warm water, expect dark jean color water to be on any other clothes. These need to be washed separately. I wash them in cold water with a limited amount of detergent but always find this fading eventually happens no matter how well they are cared for.Lastly a negative effect is slight shrinking sometimes full sizes over time. If you wash them in warm water regularly, they will shrink inseam and waist size. I've found by washing them only in cold water, the shrinkage is only a tiny amount over time.In summation, I like this brand and model of jeans and would recommend them to men who need to go back and forth between office and shop. They do look good and the darker colors will hide some dirt. But I have also accepted what I have to put up with or how differently I have to care for them.

Smelled Like Rotten Fish Guts
There was nothing physically wrong with these pants and I would have given them a 5 star rating except for the fact that when I opened the plastic they were sealed in, there was an horrific odor permeating from the pants. The odor smelled like rotting fish and was so pungent, as soon as I opened the packaging in the back room, my kids were complaining of the smell in the living room (other end of the house). After two washes in HOT water on the "heavily soiled" setting with detergent, the smell did come out completely. I am still aghast as to how bad these pants smelled and I can't fathom how this smell got into the pants. I hope Dickies can look into this because if the smell had not come out after the second wash, I was fully prepared to send them back.

Skater cool and a relative bargain.
My Son's a skater and these trousers are skater cool, a relative bargain, and robust. Normal jeans can be ruined in one weekend. These are tough enough to withstand general abuse.

Love these trousers
Love these trousers. Very hard-wearing. Never need ironed. Comfortable cut. Seem to magically repel dirt. Last an age before they get washed out and need replaced(compared to normal dress trousers). The perfect trouser if you work in an 'active' job which requires you to wear black trousers.

Nice trousers, odd fitting.
I really like these trousers but the fit is incredibly odd. I tried these on in store in Germany but didn't want to carry them the rest of my trip so ordered them online. The 34x32 seemed a bit small in the shop so got the 36x32 but not only the waist size increased but intact the whole trouser. The waist fits like a 36 but the rest of the trousers fit much bigger. Take this into account when ordering and if you don't love baggyish trousers give these a miss.
