Super soft and Squishy yet subtly firm!
This mattress is above and beyond anything I ever thought I could be. It's soft and Squishy to sit on during the day yet firm to lay on at night. At least for me. I had to put a down topper on it for it to be soft enough to sleep on. If it gets much use I recommend flipping it often. The fabric is like silky heaven. I had ordered the queen 8-in, definitely not wanting it to be too thick being as we were going to use it mostly for the sitting position. It was unpackaged and laid flat for roughly two weeks but never grew to but I would say five inches. It's still perfect though.

Strong smell.
The paper insert that came with this mattress referred to a "slight smell" that would be present after opening. Understatement of the century! It reeked. I let the mattress air out outside for a day and a half, and it still smelled by the time I had to bring it inside. Several days later, and the smell is much, much more tolerable, though still present.I gave the mattress about 48 hours before sleeping on it to let it puff out, but that didn't seem to be quite enough. Now that I've had it for roughly a week, it's much, much more comfortable. It never rose to 8 inches thick, though; it's much closer to ~6". (This is a complaint I have personally seen on a lot of futon mattresses across the board, though.)I am satisfied with this mattress, and I do like it a lot, but the smell was truly awful. If you are sensitive to smells, perhaps prone to migraines as I am, please do take this into consideration before purchasing.

The mattress seems well manufactured
It’s not really 8” seems more like 6” , it does feel comfortable for a futon mattress

This is not 8 inches thick. Only about 5 inches!seems to have no foam, only batting.
Not thick not comfortable feels like a comforter on the boards. Returning.

It's too poofy!
It's not as firm as I thought I was buying. It's too soft since we use it as our couch. I bought the 10-inch pad hoping for sitting comfort. Next time, I will check the description a lot better since I wanted it to be more mattress like with the firmness I like.
