Great for parents
As someone with aging parents, I wanted to get them a workout book that had effective exercises. I'm happy to say this book met my standards. I'm happy knowing my parents have another helpful workout resource that can help them live longer and healthier lives.

Great Information
I'm almost 50 and I don't like to be classified as a senior yet. In my head I'm still 30, however, my back doesn't agree with me. I needed to work on better stretching and workout since my second back surgery and this book was very helpful to give me methods to work out and stretch that doesn't over work my back. It's just the right amount.

Worth a read
I didn't really learn anything new, but it certainly summarizes the knowledge you need to have to start a healthy program of strength, aerobic, flexibility and balance improvement. I found that several of the exercises were very optimistic in terms of the ability of a 60 year old to tackle them. I have a bad knee and immediately clocked several exercises I would never be able to pull off, regardless of what alterations I made to the exercise itself. Specifically, getting down on the ground and up again quickly is just not happening. That said, it's a pretty good guide to getting started.

Excellent Fitness Guide for Seniors
I am in my mid-60's and have been looking for a fitness guide that is appropriate to my age group.I've always stayed in shape but have found that age-related limitations (muscle elasticity, joint soreness, etc) have forced me to adapt my workouts to prevent injury. This wonderful guide enabled me to once again push my limits, such as they are, and helped me once again exercise to my full potential. It is clear, concise and effective.I highly recommend it.

fitness
On reading this book for many people it might be a bit scary but I found it to be very helpful. The author took the time to explain and give samples of the exercises. The great thing about exercise is that a person can modify to their needs.

Good to know
I’m at that age where I thought I could still do what I did in my 30’s. Reality hit and now here I am learning how to limber up without hurting myself.

exercise book
My husband has a disability and I thought that this book might have some exercises that could help his gain some muscle strength. I think that the book had some great exercise ideas that would be helpful. But my husband was not interested in trying any of them. And I get my exercise from walking. So this book was not a good fit for us.

Borrowed to bought!
Having borrowed a copy of this wonderful book I now have one of my own. It is extremely helpful and brilliantly laid out for his target readership. It is one of the best resources out there for information to assist those seniors seriously wanting to continue living a healthy and active life for years to come. Thankfully it doesn't assume all seniors are incapable of everything other than very basic exercises. Having said that, the vast majority of the book's exercises can be performed by most seniors. I am 62 and am having no problem whatsoever in doing them. They are easy to understand and follow. Good clear instructions and illustrations. The final chapter gives an 8 week workout routine and guidance about how to create your own work out for your specific need's goals. The author says to treat it as a fitness guide and it contains everything you need to know to exercise and get fit safely.Value for money.Recommended.

Not only applicable for seniors. Simply wonderful!
This book is succinct, realistic, and one which can always be referenced. I’ve already forwarded it to friends and family who need a guide to better manage their health and don’t necessarily have the funds or willingness to involve others in that process. There is a clear nutritional overview that can immediately be embedded in one’s diet and the training schedule allow you to easily structure your workout. Great way to not only become more aware but also prepare the mind and body for a senior age. Highly recommended!!
