Happy relative to the price
Only had this product for a week, so take with a grain of salt:Relative to the price, I am very happy with this product.Key notes:Positive:-Speed adjust works great, easy to change-Ramps up speed slowly, so if you accidentally leave it on 6, it has a slow acceleration up to max speed - pressure misuse-Works as intended, dual action orbital oscillation motion-Variety of pads, 2x sizes, great deal included-Comes with a nice carrying case and two different handles-Low cost relative to other orbital polishersNegative:-Generates a LOT of heat, NOT on pad, but from unit, and dissipates it out (not an issue, you will feel heat from the unit on your arms while holding it, likely completely normal)-The 'lock' feature being a button could be better, almost requires two hands to lock, could be seen as good or bad-It is noisy, but it seems 'normal' to me, I would expect the same from other unitsI give 5/5: met all my expectations at a far lower price than I saw in stores locally (Similar units in store here are easily double the price and don't include as many pads even)Also, Pad info since it is not clear in the listing:"Generally, yellow pads are the most aggressive for heavy cutting, orange are medium for compounding, blue are fine for polishing, and white are the least aggressive for final polishing and waxing."

I am very satisfied with its performance!
I recently purchased this buffer polisher, and I am extremely impressed with its performance! Right out of the box, it felt solid and well-built. The design is ergonomic, making it easy to handle for extended periods without discomfort. I used it to polish my car’s paint, and the results were fantastic. The machine is powerful but easy to control, giving me a smooth and even finish without any swirl marks or streaks. One of the best features is the adjustable speed settings. I was able to use a lower setting for the initial polishing and then crank up the speed for a high-gloss finish. It provides excellent torque, allowing me to apply the right amount of pressure and polish without overworking or damaging the surface.

Good product
I bought 2 of these over the summer to prep our house and 3 car garage for painting. It was a big job and I burned through one unit but the 2nd finished the job and is now being used to buff the vehicles. The variable speed is excellent.

Easy to Use
This product is amazing and gets the job done. I have a brand new car and of course just like an older car, I knew I’d get a chip in the hood. I decided to purchase the Subaru exact match paint and clear coat and began applying the smallest amount of car paint. The paint pen has a large tip and I was getting frustrated with the application. I probably wiped it off with alcohol 5 times. After adding the clear coat, I absolutely hated the results. It looked worse than ever. I decided on using a little sponge on the area to remove the clear coat only to discover it was abrasive to my car. After multiple purchases, Scratchdent, compounds and to no avail, I decided to by an actual handheld car buffer. Easy to assemble, super easy to use and it comes with many levels of buffing pads. I started with the least abrasive and gradually worked my way up to semi abrasive ( the green waffle pad) VOILA, it started to erase the scratches and quickly removed the white haze on my hood. Make sure you get the buffer pad wet before using on a painted surface. Simply put, if it’s dry it can become to hot as it spins on the paint surface and cause marring.. Simply place the compound, 5 daps around the buffer pad and then lightly press down on the paint surface in several sections to evenly distribute the compound. Place the buffer on the paint surface and then turn on letting the machine do the work ( No force or pressure is required) For $60.00 this is a must have for your car, both old and new!! I avoided spending several hundred dollars at a detailing shop with this amazing product. 5 star review

Motor surges at low speed, sanding discs too small
The media could not be loaded. I gave this model a try since this type of tool is not something I use frequently and due to the number of good reviews. However, when I added the handle, I realized there was no was to index the handle in position and I tightened the handle as much as I could, comfortably, as I didn’t was to strip the housing or break the handle. I found that the sanding discs included were smaller than the backing plate, so useless with this tool. I tried using a polishing pad and found the motor surging at low speed and tried to increase speed, but still surged. The arbor is not 5/8, so buying backing plates or other accessories would not be convenient. Now that I look back at the reviews, many mention how much better their car looked…which is really due to the compound and pad used. The reviews focused on the tool itself , mentioned overheating, broken handles, etc. I should have spent a few more dollars and bought quality.

Good
I used this to polish my car. Used it for 10 hours in 100 degree heat. No issues. Works as it should. And comes with a decent caring case. Don’t know about the pads it comes with I bought better ones to use

Speed skips around. Bad vibrations from tool.
The media could not be loaded. It does a good job for the price and what it is, but you still get what you pay for. All the included pads are thin and dainty junk. The handle on mine came snapped and my threads to the tool handle were tapped not straight at all. For a beginner is not a bad tool. I was looking to use it to buff my freshly painted vehicle, but it was so bad with the vibrations and speed skipping around that I just sent it back.
