The color profiles and line drawings are an excellent reference for modelers
A interesting addition to the growing list of titles in the series featuring WW I A/C. Some fascinating, rarely seen, subjects are covered. The photos are amazingly clear. Where do they find these old photos?? The color profiles and line drawings are an excellent reference for modelers. Period pilot reports are included and add some further dimension to the subjects as real airplanes. If I have any gripes, it is with the copy editing: There does not seem to have been any. The text has many grammar, subject-verb agreement and other problems that should have been caught before publication. A minor point I suppose but other than that, I am pleased with the book and it is a welcome addition to my library.

Highly Recommended, without hesitation
Another outstanding tome from Aeronaut Publications illuminating further developments, both evolutionary and not, in aviation during World War 1. Full of detailed information and a very enjoyable read. I am looking forward to Volume 2 and long may the publisher produce tomes of such erudition.Highly Recommended, without hesitation, to all interested in World War 1 aviation.Dr. C. Atkins
