R&M RichardsWomen's Plus Size Lace Pant Set

I was very nervous about buying a Mother of the Bride outfit online, to arrive just days before the wedding but my efforts at 3 major walk-in department stores was fruitless. I opted for the navy color of this outfit and hoped for the best - and so glad I did! It arrived as seen in the photo, on hangers, wrapped in plastic with zero need to get wrinkles out. On first try on (in photo), it was a little tricky getting the top on as it was attached to the jacket but it's stretchy enough to figure where your arms go then sort out the shoulder pads and straighten it out - took less than one minute. The pants ARE long, but I wore a body shaper underneath and simply pulled them up a bit higher than I would have for 'normal' pants it felt natural and the crotch was low enough so it didn't look or feel awkward. To note, the jacket is NOT supposed to close completely...maybe more than it did for me with my post-menopausal belly (lol), and I would have preferred a little more fabric with the jacket but that does not reduce my rating. I wore a very low heel, less than 1", and the length for my 5'4" / 202 lb frame was just right. I received MANY compliments- the sparkle was just right, without looking clubby on the dance floor; the dark color was totally appropriate for a late Oct wedding, and had a pretty blue tone when the lights hit it. I was comfortable the entire time of dancing and mingling without feeling like I couldn't wait to get out of a 'Barbara Bush' outfit like so many MoB are relegated to wearing. Afterward, I washed in gentle cycle and hung to dry and it's like brand new again, didn't appear to lose one sequin or fray anywhere. I'll definitely wear this again for holiday events! Wore to a wedding. Got lots of complements. Does not wrinkle. Very comfortable & could wear year round.

Fits perfect and true to size. I went with the dark purple. Such a pretty outfit. Very comfortable.

This is a great addition to my wardrobe. I bought it for a wedding and will get good use out of it for cruises and other events. I am happy with the navy color as it is versatile and flattering. It fit true to size. Quality of the construction and the fabric is very good.The one thing I had to adjust was to remove the shell from the jacket. I have no idea why this was not made as a three piece outfit in the first place as it is much more comfortable and fits better with the shell detached from the jacket. I also removed the shoulder pads as this is totally out of fashion. If you prefer to have a separate shell like I do and do not want to alter it, this is not for you. There are three piece outfits out there but I bought this one because it could be delivered on time for the wedding.

It was very flattering even though is was way to big. I ususally take an XL and ordered a 3XL based on the size chart, especially the waist measurement. I felt that the pants would fall to the floor as I was pushing my mother down the aisle in her wheelchair. I would have exchanged it but found a dress while waiting for it to arrive. I still considered it to have in case. I'm 75, in case of what, I never go anywhere formal. I'm on my last granddaughter's wedding so that should be it.

I would have given this a higher rating if the tank was separated from the jacket.. The color is beautiful, the sequins did not fall off and the fabric is very soft. There are only two downsides to this outfit form me and they are, the tank is sewed to the jacket, this would be ok if it was not a full front to back tank top but it is a full tank top and it was sewed to the jacket which made it awkward yo put on and take off. The second downside was that the tank could have been longer in length. ( a personal preference I guess)

This outfit fit wonderfully on me. I did have to glue the pant legs up one roll but that was it. The "tank" top is attached to the jacket and is very pretty, sparkly and lacy. The pants fit also and were very comfortable. I would recommend this outfit for any special fancy occasion.

I've never written a review on anything before, but I am writing this one to keep someone else from being as disappointed and dissatisfied as I was. This RM Richards pant set is of very poor quality. The fabric is so thin that the pants would only do for sleeping in, and definitely not worn in public unless you have the desire to appear being naked. The style of the jacket is not flattering at all. I am not overweight by a longshot, but you would have to be shaped like a stick for your backside not to be accentuated. I am definitely returning it.However, I ordered the navy blue, and the colors were extremely beautiful and elegant looking. So sad that part wasn't extended to the quality of the outfit.

I didn't expect too much because the price is so reasonable, but really--this is quite a lovely set. Fit is nice, jacket is roomy (doesn't show bulges in places you don't want bulges to show), comfortable to wear and looks quite smart with glittery/silver accessories (earrings, shoes--pant length accommodates wearing up to a 2" heel-- & handbag).

Beautiful outfit but find the top is a little low and the legs are ver long but for the price the quality is really nice

This suit was for my son’s wedding, it arrived on time & fit nicely. The only thing was the pants were quite long in length so needed to hem them.

Beautiful! Ordered 2 different sizes...just in case. Was very happy that the smaller size fit.

This was a really nice outfit, but it did not fit me well. This is a nice outfit for a tall person.
