Great story
I thoroughly enjoyed reading SEMPER FI BROTHERS by A.C. Turner. The story is about Gunny O'Malley, Buzz, and Q. Gunny and Buzz served together in Vietnam and continued to be best friends since. Today, Gunny is a consultant for a TV war series on the verge of canceling and owns a bar. Buzz is his best customer and "Q", the best bartender, ever.Q didn't seem himself after some phone calls and soon informed Gunny that he was returning to Syria to save his mother and sister from the invading ISIS forces. Buzz immediately joins him. Gunny can't be convinced to go and soon feels guilty. Not able to live with himself if Buzz were injured, the call of brotherhood brings him to Syria, too.The author presents the ISIS group as blood-thirsty killers for their faith. Q's mother's village is overrun and his family is taken hostage. The trio arrives just in time to prevent their deaths, and the battles soon convene.Highly recommended!Just one point I'd like to make. Military personnel do not WIN awards, the medals and decorations are awarded and presented to the person for exemplary service or heroism. In the story, you mentioned a few times that Gunny O'Malley won the Medal of Honor. Other military veterans may also bring that to your attention unless it is changed.

A Real Page Turner...Keeps You Guessing What Happens Next
This is a story of love, redemption, true friendship, and courage. The journey of two best friends in this story makes it a must-read. It is both humorous and serious at the same time. The author does a great job bringing the characters to life and making them very relatable. The "meat" of the book is when best friends Gunny and Buzz go off to Syria to help a co-worker save his mother and sister from dying in the hands of ISIS. The frightening reality is that our current world environment reflects the suffering that went on in this book today. It is a quick read and holds your interest from beginning to end. As other readers have said, I, too, would love to see this on the big screen, it would make a great movie!

We need heros... now!
Like others have said, it's a movie. So vivid and energized. Full of relatable pain and trauma as well as unfortunate, unthinkable toxic, world corruption and war life... Outrageous bravery and compassion are needed and our Semper Fi Brother, who is broken and lost.. steps in, reviving his Marine life and know how. This story weaves so much of today's issues both political and personal... how does one, make a difference?? Love the diversity, humor and... heart.

Good book
Its not the things you wish you would had done that count. It is the things in life you did and were worth doing. This is a inspirational book. I highly recommend. Thank for writing the story.

Amusing enough
A feel good fantasy in typical Hollywood style by an author secure in his complete ignorance of the firearms he writes about and Marines in general
