You might notice that the one star reviews are generally complaining about breakage, during shipping. If you play it smart, you should be okay. For instance, I ordered mine when I knew I was ordering something else. EG: I ordered a five-pack of Brita filters. So both of my items were double backed, as a result, arriving in one master box.That said, the packing for my dishes alone, were pretty good, and as follows:The four dishes were stacked, with foam wrap in between each one. The box was double corrugated. Inside the box, on each wall (including above and below) was 3/8" foam. That's not too bad (double corrugated, foam walls with foam wrap) and if you have that shipped with something else, you'll have extra protection, from a master carton. You must know that when you're ordering dishware or fragile items, from a website, there is a risk involved and you might get into disappointments. This doesn't mean that the shipper or manufacturer isn't responsible for packing things properly. But in my case, anticipating the worst, due to reading those one star reviews first about breakage, my shipment arrived in perfect condition.So my advice is, wait to buy these for when you have something else you need, like a pair of slippers...or a five-pack of Brita filters! :) ...just make sure you're buying from one place. In this case, Amazon's warehouse. If you follow these steps and you still receive these broken, then have Amazon replace your whole shipment. It probably means that they received these broken from their own supplier and didn't open the box to inspect it, before shipping to you.The dishes themselves are pretty much what I expected. For the price, I have no complaints. Before I ordered, I did quite a bit of research. I picked these ones because for cookware of this class and dimension, I wanted something stackable, for storage.Upon receiving my dishes, they still seemed a bit small inside but ultimately the dimensions are as advertised, except for one thing; The description of the length and width dimension that you see in the image(s) are measured from INSIDE, where the depth of 2" is actually measured from the OUTSIDE. So technically, in my point of view, the depth is 1 3/4" and not 2", when measured from the inside. If you measure from the countertop, to the top of the dish, it is 2" high. I mean, if they're going to measure from the inside, why would they measure the depth from the outside? It's minor but I thought I'd mention it because it might be important.One final thing. No lids obviously and there were none advertised. There are no stamps on the bottom of the dishes stating anything about where it's from (cough China cough), it's durability, or temperature rating, or what it is safe for. That means we're to assume that what is stated in the above description is true, even though there is nothing about the dish or packaging that backs up what is claimed. We'll have to use them to find out. If I have any issues about performance (because I will be using these for oven, freezer, microwave, dishwasher), I will be back to change my review. In the meantime, they look good, the price is fair, and I feel pretty good about them;

These casserole dishes are just right for a single serving. I can make a pot of something and then apportion them out into the dishes for later reheating. They are dishwasher, oven and microwave safe. I find them easy to clean and very attractive. Their oval shape with the handles (a must for getting things out of the oven) goes with all my other dishes.
