Columbia Youth Infant Steens Mountain II Fleece Jacket

Fits well. Nicely made. Grandson loves it for fall weather.

I purchased this jacket to solve the "no puffy coats allowed in car seats" issue. The fleece jacket allows the straps to fit snugly against my son and is warm enough to go from house to car in freezing PA temps. I have found size 12/18 month to fit true to size. If it's especially cold, I layer a smaller hooded sweatshirt underneath (12 month Carter's size). He is a tall 11 month old wearing 18 month pants in the photo and had room to grow in both pants and jacket. I expect it to fit him until the end of the spring when he is 16 months old. Edit: Still loving it! It is now one year later and I bought this same jacket for my son again. I believe they run just a little small, so he is wearing a 3T and he is almost 2 years, 35" and 30lbs. He has been wearing it a month and I think he'll be able to wear it until it starts to get warmer out in April 2020.

I have purchased many Columbia products for myself, my daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter. All of them have been quality purchases of products that have lasted for many years. I've been looking for the perfect jacket for my grandson, who is 3 years old, and Columbia was my first choice. He doesn't like to wear heavy jackets, but I want to make sure he is warm. Although this jacket is not made for playing in the snow all day, I believe it is perfect for everyday wear when running errands, coming to Grandma's, or going to daycare. My grandson currently wears a size 2T. Based on the reviews of this jacket, I purchased a 3T for him to wear this winter. It is actually a little big for him right now, but I'm sure with the addition of a long-sleeved shirt or sweatshirt underneath, it will fit him perfectly this winter. The jacket is medium weight and has a soft fleece feel. It is approximately 14" long from the shoulder seam to the bottom of the jacket. The sleeves are approximately 12 1/2" long, including the cuff. Laying flat, the jacket is 10-11" through the chest. The shell is made of 100% polyester and the stitching is neat, straight, and stylish. It has two zip pockets on the front that my grandson has already fallen in love with! His little hands fit in them perfectly, and he can carry his toys and money (very important to a 3 year old) with him without worry of losing them. The jacket zips up the center and has a fly collar when not zipped completely. The design is modern and has the Columbia logo embroidered on the chest. This jacket is a cute little version of the Columbia jackets that kids, teens, and adults wear. I ordered this jacket from Amazon for a fraction of the price I would have paid in the store and I couldn't be more pleased. I will continue to purchase Columbia products for my family because of the quality and reasonable prices I have experienced when purchasing in the past.

We love this fleece jacket for our son. Last winter, we used it as his “car seat coat.” Since babies/toddlers aren’t supposed to wear puffy or slippery coats while buckled in their car seats (they can be ejected during a crash), we needed something thin but warm for him to wear in and out of car while running quick errands etc. and this worked perfectly. On especially cold days or if we were going to be outside for more than a minute, we would throw a warmer coat over it after getting him out of the car. I plan to buy another one in a larger size this winter and every year for the foreseeable future. The quality is so nice my younger son will get good use out of them too. Also love the green color! We got a lot of compliments on it.

Our son has blue eyes and I love the Hyper Blue color. It looks great on him! Sizing: He is 2 and typically wears a 2T in shirts but we wanted the jacket to last at least 6 months so we ordered the 3T and it fit but there was no room to grow so we ordered the 4T and it fits great. Our son is in the 25th percentile for weight so he's on the slim side but he is tall (75th percentile for height), if that helps anyone. This jacket seems to run on the small size so I would advise going up in size. Quality: Some reviewers said the fleece quality isn't great but I think it is just fine. It isn't the most plush fleece but it is warm and comfotable for our son so I'm happy. I think the price is right for the quality.

Super soft, cozy, and perfect for chilly days! The fleece is gentle on my baby’s skin, easy to wash, and holds up beautifully. Great quality for the price — I’ll definitely be buying the next size up when my little one outgrows this one!
