Hopefully I will never require them but it is an inline fuse I used on my PV panels wiring into the MPPT controller for my Solar retrofit on my trailer. They latched onto the existing connectors for a seamless fit.

This use has caused me lots of trouble until I was able to find the problem in my solar system being this fuse loosing internal the contact between the internal fuse and the receiver that goes over the internal fuse. I re-assembled it about 6 times now and sure thing, after a few hours or days it looses contact again. I measured it each time with being Ohm meter and sure enough, infinitive resistance. I have only 5 170 watt solar panels in series and never saw the amperage rising over 10 amp, and the fuse I am writing about is a 15 amp fuse. I am now 5 weeks into my purchase and have to figure out how to return it. I should have returned it the first time it lost contact, but I had faith, it will be working after re-assembling it with the receiver cleaned and tightened. Nothing helped, its now removed from my install.

I noticed that my two solar panels were only producing about half of the power they normally would.I checked the connections, and sure enough one of these fuse holders was the problem. Water had entered the fuse area and was causing corrosion and poor contact. I checked the fuse for the other panel, and it also had water in it.I would not recommend installing these in places where they will be exposed to weather, because they are not waterproof in the long term.

Two of my 4 parallel strings had reduced output. Started troubleshooting the components and pinpointed the failure to this fuse module. The fuse holder does not grip the fuse tightly enough to ensure a solid connection. I now understand why these fuses were so much cheaper than those from other brands.

Worth the pennies, great fuse system, easy to install and change the fuze if necessary. BOUGERV always has what i need too. Fair price for 5, so they are not out to gouge you.
