You have to oil the thread lock
If you ever walk in the rain or the cold you do need to oil the thread lock it seems like once a month. With how the hook is on the lock your dog cannot move forward or else it will just get stuck and make you mad. The length is perfect and my dogs like to play with the leashes so it is sturdy enough for them to bite and do no damage to the leash. Easy to wash. Uses zip tie at the thinnest area of the lock in a figure eight in order to keep the loop of the leash set in one place on the lock.

Sturdy but stiff
When they say static, they mean if. This is a very stiff rope. I used it to make dog leashes though so it didn't matter all that much to me but I'm sure it would to others.

Not just for climbing
I don't climb rocks, mountains or anything higher higher than ladder. But I have a dog, who is stronger than an elephant and eats as much as. I bought what is called a tie out cable for dogs up to 250 lb. He only weighs 130 lbs. It rusted out in a month. What to do ? Genius that I am decided to buy this rope. After all it has a way to attach bull clips to each end. Why not try. Well the road came today and it is well made and feels incredibly strong. There's no need for me to add bull clips because it is attached by a very very secure clip which screws closed for added security. I think I made the right decision I'll let you know if it breaks or rips in any way. Thank you seller for an excellent product !

Functional depending on your application
I used the rope to tether off to a harness while doing a 12 x12 sheet metal roof. I can see some peoples concern that the out sheething stretches and slips from the inner cord. However it did not interfere with the ascender that I was using. I didn't have any instances where the rope made me worry about my safety. If the outer layer didn't stretch the way it did after the first couple of uses I would have given it a 5 star

Sturdy
Use this for my puppers ,keeps them secured while still allowing them to roam around the yard.

So Far it's great!
I'll be curious to see how it holds up over time, but first impressions of the rope have been great. I used a short section to make a linemen's belt, the rest will be used for a treestand safety line. The carabiners that come with it seem to be lower quality but that was expected and I'll find a use for them. The rope itself appears to be good quality.

Warning! Dangerous product with defects that could not have been missed when packaged!
Purchased this rope to use for a short, at home, outdoor climbing wall project. I did look at the rope briefly after purchase, but defects were turned in such a way (they) could not be seen until starting to loosen the bundle. By the time we completed our mini climbing wall project, and I started to unwind the rope, it was too late to return. The first major defect (first three pictures) you can clearly see where the sheath has major factory weaving errors) and worse is the fact it had to have been rolled by a person, somewhere, who could never have missed it! Another glance elsewhere (see last picture) it was easy to find another defect, but this involves the inner core material poking through. Didn't even try to unroll further, as it is useless rope. Selling this as a climbing rope is shameful. I wouldn't dare use this on our 12 foot mini wall and can't imagine others who might be using this rope in even more dangerous situations. And it wasn't cheap, another $25 and I could have purchased a name brand, inspected, safe, quality rope. Don't make my mistake, I'm not the first who received rope in this condition.Follow-up:Thinking someone may purchase this rope, even after my review, I decided to unroll the rope and thoroughly inspect and document. Hopefully this prevents what could be catastrophic events happening to people who purchased or are thinking about purchasing from this seller. As expected, I found defects throughout the rope. Lengths of rope like this should have continuous fibers. And as can be seen both the core (white fluffs sticking out) and the outer cover, show extreme segmentation. This rope could fail at any time under the weight of a person or if dynamically loaded even a little bit. Assuming the load is shared by both the core and cover, you can see both are compromised. And for people who might have received rope without such core damage- you can never be sure the inner core has continuous fibers over the length of the rope. Again, it's absolutely impossible this damage was not seen when the rope was final packed (a person definitely handled this to complete the rope packaging process..) meaning all rope originating from this source should be considered as compromised.Remember this!A sudden, unprepared, five foot fall, could mean a broken leg, arm, or hand.At ten feet, it could be your back, neck, or a severe head injury- even paralyzation or death. (I've seen the worst happen.)Forget 20 feet- that's a bad day and these ropes at 90 feet labeled as "climbing rope" you do that math.Yes, I stupidly fell for this scam and dumbly thought of allowing it to be used on a low backyard training wall by my kids. I intend to lobby Amazon to have this seller remove any climbing designation from their listings. It's no better (or different) than the $20 utility rope available at Home depot.

Good Quality, and good value!
I used the roap for a clothes line and for my safety roap for hunting. The roap is great. The ends are stiched together and plastic is shrank over that. So far the roap is snag resistance. It is rather stiff as you would expect. Overall great buy!

Great static line...
use it as a static line and currently is doing what it is meant to do. As someone mentioned that this is NOT for those innovative knot tying specialties.
