Hell on Earth (Hell on Earth Series Book 1)

It was ok
So I've never read this author before but the storyline seemed interesting so I decided to give it a try. It kept me entertained well enough but it was not extremely well written. While the world that has been created is interesting and has so much that could be played with, I feel like the author didn't really capitalize on that. Maybe it's because it is a spinoff series, and I've never read the original series that it spun off of, so the author didn't really feel the need to do a lot with it. Either way, the story was pretty predictable and I felt like the main character's feelings for each other were way too rushed. *spoiler alert* the main character supposedly hates demons more than anything because demons are what killed her family and yet after not even a day and a half of being stuck with a ridiculously good looking demon while in a bad situation, she decides to engage in sexual activities with him? And she is supposedly extremely strong and an extremely strong willed woman. I just don't buy it. It went from 0 to 60 way too fast. It just didn't feel realistic or organic in any way, it felt too rushed. Maybe if the author had elaborated more on the time they spent together before this happened it would have made more sense? But the book just jumped right into it, we got no real feel for how their relationship had been up to that point besides the male lead talking a little about how he flirted with her when he first met her and she avoided him every chance she got. I also felt like the story didn't really go anywhere. Her mission in this book is to find the fallen and defeat them and all the demons following them with the help of other demons and yea she killed a few demons and even almost died because of one, but no real headway is made into their mission at all. At right at an interesting point in the book where she had to be turned into a demon to save her life, the book goes on a little more about her changes right as they are happening and then it just sorta ends. The ending was a letdown to be honest. Even the sex scenes in the book could have used a little more of something. They were there and gone so fast without being that swoon-worthy. But like I said in the beginning, it kept me entertained. It had enough action scenes in it to keep me entertained while I tried to get through it so I gave it 3 stars, but I won't be continuing with this series.

this was really good.
It’s been a few years since read the Into Hell series but I loved reading what happened with Corson. Cannot wait for the next book.

First book in series: Hell on Earth
I've always enjoyed this author and her enchanting stories of romance and supernatural. This story has a post-apocalyptic setting when government unknowingly blow up a Hellgate. Thereby releasing Hells creatures onto the Earth. Wren is a Wilder leader, which means she leads those humans that do not trust the same government that caused this mess and whom oppose the "prison-like" sanctuary of the government - built wall to protect the citizens from the creatures released from Hell. She lives in the wild and has negotiated with Kobal, the rightful King of Hell before Lucifer usurped the position, an alliance to hunt and destroy those creatures released by the seals. Kobal assigns his two most trusted paliton demons: Corson & Bale to assist. The resentment of Wren and Corson's attraction has this story enthralling. The two alone make the story fly as they encounter several battles that push the two together. I enjoyed reading the mindsets of Wren and Corson. It made the story comprehension smooth. It was truly an enjoyable read. I hated to see it end. That why there is book 2.

No longer in Hell but it's still just as hot!
Holy Hell, it's hot on Earth. Firstly, you don't have to read the Road to Hell series in order to read this spin off series. Brenda provides enough details to keep you current without being repetitive, so those like myself, who have read the Road to Hell series, are refreshed but not bogged down in repeated details. But honestly, why wouldn't you read the series?Secondly, be prepared to have hot flashes, intense moments where you are clenching your teeth and holding your breath. If you have to get up early the next day, I don't recommend reading it at night because you won't want to put it down until it's done. I started reading mid morning yesterday, was super irritated that life interrupted throughout the day. Was about half way through around 10pm...stayed awake til well after midnight to finish. I'm currently suffering a book hangover.Lastly, the lack of sleep and the book hangover is all worth it!Corson, an elf like, powerful demon, is drawn to an infuriating human that has the power to bring him to his knees.Wren, a human who has been through more than most in the last 14yrs, has spent each tragedy, building a wall around her vulnerability. The pushy, arrogant demon manages to crack through the wall within 2 days, in complete darkness.

First book in a Spinoff series.
The "Road to Hell" series should be read before this series. I liked the previous series, so didn't hesitate to go on to this one. The World Building is very good. The romance is hot. The Supernatural aspects are intriguing. This book (and series) has a great deal of Demons, angels, and mythical creatures. It is a World that has had its own sort of Apocalypse, setting loose unending creatures from Hell. This book is about one of the Demons who was a supporting character in the Road to Hell series. And although he gets his HEA by the end, the ongoing plotline will continue in the next book with another of the supporting characters from the first series (yes, I peeked at the blurb for the next book). I am planning to continue this series.

An Ok Read
14 years since the gateway between Hell and Earth was opened and the contours of human life/civilisation has never been the same, nor has it been the same for the Demons who found themselves on earth after they closed the gateway. Human Wren (aka a Wilder) is determined to keep her distance from Demon Corson, they may be forced to work together in order to survive but as far she’s concerned that’s the end of their relationship. Corson for his part, finds himself unable to stop thinking about the prickly and standoffish Wilder he craves more and more. This was an ok read, light and easy. I love romances involving demons etc but I have to say this read didn’t ensnare my attention like I wanted to… at all. The relationship development between Wren and Corson, didn’t have the intensity and heat I wanted. Honestly the best description I can give this story is that it was nice enough.Freebie on Amazon 9th September 2019.

Ok read
This is a standalone paranormal romance novel with a HEA that forms part of a series with overlapping characters. It is not really the first book in the series and so I felt rather overwhelmed by all the world building and back story information that had to be provided. I think I would have preferred to start at the beginning of the previous series. The story got a bit repetitive at times with frequent battle scenes against first this monster and then that one, which you knew they main couple were going to win otherwise that would be the end of the book! I found the situation on Earth rather gloomy and depressing too and as for Wren continually expecting to die when again we know she won't also got a bit boring for me

Epic as always 😍
I've read the road to hell series and I loved every moment of it so i was ecstatic when I came across this book. We are in the same world with the same characters only the mains are different now and we get to see more of the growing relationships of the other characters instead of just river and kobals story. So enough about them and back to the stars of the show corson and wren and their epic journey. We have lots of twists and turns i definitely had a few (ooo no way moments) it was great there's a good strong storyline that was action packed and the relationship built between the two mains was beautiful and captivating to read.I'm going to go for now as I don't want to give anything away but know if you liked the road to hell series then you'll love the hell on earth series as they are one in the same. 5 massive stars from me. Worth every penny

Corson and Wren's story.
Be captivated as you're thrown back in into another world with demons and different monsters you wouldn't believe existed. Very violent and imaginative, plenty of sex scenes. A good read if you like this kind of thing. Found it free. It's not necessary to read the books before but you'd probably get a better understanding of the storyline if you did.
