Maybe the perfect stainless steel braided wire replacement.
UHMWPE, stands for ultra high molecular weight polyethylene, rope is 15 times stronger than steel, it floats, is waterproof, UV resistant, and is a great replacement for even stainless steel braided cable.I was looking for some stainless steel cable to make a dog run. I noticed that many reviews discussed how quickly SS cable starts to deteriorate The individual stands start to break, this means you start seeing, or more likely feeling, fish hooks along the cable which will spear you if you run your hand along it. This wood not be great for a dog run which by definition will have something running along the cable frequently.UHMWPE rope is not cheap but neither is SS cable. For a dog run for a hard charging dog, frequently putting a lot of force on the cable requires 1/4" cable in either stainless or non-stainless.I used this 1/8" UHMWPE rope instead. It has worked wonderfully for my 65lbs black mouth cur dog. She is solid muscle and can yank your arm or of the socket if your not careful. I forgot to mention UHMWPE rope also had virtually no stretch. You will have to learn how to splice because this rope is very slippery and doesn't hold knots well. Not to worry though it's perhaps the easiest type of rope to splice and there are plenty of videos online to show you how.I spliced SS thimbles into eye splice at both ends. I used a SS turnbuckle at one end so I could easily tension the run once it's up.You can either splice the turnbuckle directly into the eye but I used SS threaded connecting links to attach everything together, the turnbuckle, eyes to ring eyes screwed into trees, posts, walls, whatever.Obviously accurate measurements of overall length is really helpful. The final touch was using, again SS, ball bearing pulley to attach the run rope/ leash so no friction on UHMWPE rope (although another quality of this rope is is extremely abrasion resistant)My run has been up for many months now with no signs of wear at all.The unique thing I did was use a Flexi long retractable dog leash to go from the run rope to the dog. This has worked very well to give her more space for movement while keeping her from getting tangled up in obstacles. Without this you have to have clear space the entire length of the run or the dog will constantly get tangled up on obstacles.Your dog can still get tangled around the end posts or trees but my dog figured out pretty quickly, with a little coaching, telling her to go around the other way, how to untangle herself from the end posts, bushes, and trees.

Overpriced
The product and service are 5 star. I have found 1/8” for about $0.50/ft and 7/64 for $0.30/ft. These are Canadian dollars.
