It sticks, but for the size I would think that it would hold much stronger.

Don't use on plywood
This is a strong adhesive excellent for use with jigs and routing patterns but don't use with plywood. I used a one inch strip to hold two pieces of plywood together, when I separated them the tape pulled the veneer off the plywood. Also, I had to use acetone to get the adhesive off the wood

Affordable and very sticky; leaves some residue
This tape is actually a decent alternative to my beloved Nitto Permacel (which is the standard to which I compare all other tape). It's nearly as sticky, which is excellent. However, it does leave some residue, which may need to be cleaned off later. For a general utility double-sided tape, this tape is great value. Because of the residue, I couldn't use it for my intended application (fixturing to the bed of my micro CNC machine), but I use it for most other needs.

Great holding tape...but don't use for woodworking
Very sticky and holds great but is very difficult to remove. I used this tape to hold wood on a router sled. Holds great when routing and finished piece came off with some prying but it is VERY difficult to remove the tape and adhesive from the wood. I had to use a scraper and solvent to remove adhesive. This would be an excellent tape for a nearly permanent application.

Be sure to roll it down HARD
I had difficulty getting decent adhesion with just finger rubbing the tape and then squeezing the opposite material..Accidentally discovered that rolling under my full weight/strength will make this stuff stick like crazy. Discovered this when I had to release the adhesion on something screwed down. Needed scraper and hammer to pry it apart. Not easy to remove backing, for me anyway. So 4 stars.

Sticks when you don't want, releases when you do
Don't waste your money on this if you're planning to use it for woodworking. Get something better. This stuff does everything wrong. It doesn't hold well to wood , so trying to use it to make a router template or guide fence is impossible. It will release while you're making your cut. Even worse, when you _want_ it to release so you can remove it from the template piece, it's there for good. You're never getting the tape off, and whatever you _do_ get off will leave a residue. The only way I could get the tape off my template piece was to sand it down with 80 grit.Get something better.

Used this for art framing - perfect!
I was a featured artist for my gallery this past month and hadn’t papered the backs of my frames yet. These worked out perfectly. Perfect width, easy to work with, and made the whole process run smoothly. I was worried that the peel back part wasn’t going to come off easily, but honestly, it wasn’t difficult at all. The grip is great and it made for some beautifully backed framing. The rolls seemed a little small at first, but we did 13 large pieces: 4 16x20 - 6 18x24 - 3 22x30 and used a roll and maybe a half? Artists. Paper the backs of your pieces, it makes a big difference. 😉
