So far it seems to be helping
We got this for me to use because of severe allergies. It arrives in a box, needing to be charged, or it can be plugged in to use immediately. It took 2.5 hours to charge. It comes with directions that are clear and easy to understand. It seems to be made well. The unit itself feels sturdy and durable. The timer function is easy to operate. The inhalation tool seems solid. We have had this running on charge for 60 hours and it is still going.I have noticed I seem to be creating less sinus junk in this most recent day. That is a huge component for my allergy responses. If that is all I get from it I will be happy, but I am hopeful it will help even more as I let it clean the air around me.I will update if there is anything to add to this review. We would buy this again.

Clean Fresh Air On Demand, I Think?
I’m pretty skeptical by nature so this HealthyLine GeneratIon-50 negative ion generator seems to be nothing more than a hi-tech nightlight in my humble opinion. Everything about its design and accessories are top notch. When turning it on the air is immediately saturated with the slight smell of what I can only describe as burnt chlorine. Which I’m not understanding for negative ions are supposed to be odorless, tasteless, and invisible. Like the feeling you get being at the mountains, waterfall, or beach. Can say there isn’t any significant changes I’ve noticed in my state of mind or health in general since using this GeneratIon-50 air ionizer. For this price was really expecting a lot more. Has been only three weeks, so I’m willing to give it more time to sway me.

Definitely a "personal" ionizer
To start, this thing is small—like, tiny. It's barely bigger than the palm of my hand (and I have small hands). I'm pretty sensitive to both negative ions and ozone (apparently only some people can detect the former), so as one who knows, this does seem to create negative ions with no detectable ozone. I'd be interested to know how it's doing it, especially without heat, because it doesn't seem to need or produce heat like, say, a salt lamp. It had a kind of plastic-y smell at first, and the outer materials (especially the top) feel and look somewhat cheap, so I am thinking the price is mostly based on what's inside. It charges fast and does seem to work for the advertised amount of time on one charge (I've only had to charge it a few times over the last few weeks), but the charger wall-adapter seems to be rather cheap—it gets pretty hot. The item came in somewhat upscale packaging, so I'm wondering a bit about the company's value-distribution priorities among the components.Anyway, this is definitely a personal ionizer. Don't expect it to freshen the air of a whole room. It comes with a little nozzle attachment to help you breath it in more efficiently, which I think is probably the only way most people would get a really noticeable effect. The ion output of this unit is quite low, particularly if you're wanting to impact the air of a room vs. just the general vicinity of one person.I occasionally hold it up to my nose and breathe it in directly, but I've mostly just tried to keep it around when I'm working on my laptop or sitting reading at my workspace—I've also put it over my headboard at night, and I think I've noticed the most results from that (slightly better sleep quality and breathing/air quality, since I'm under the unit instead of above). There doesn't seem to be a fan or any built-in way to circulate the ions upward if you don't have it very close (i.e. breathing straight from the outputter), and it seems like the ions don't go very high above the machine before they start to fall. So in most cases, when you'll be having the unit a foot or so below the level of your nose/mouth, I'm not sure how much you'll actually be breathing in. As a completely random side-note: I had a little fun showing it to my cat, who was at first freaked out by the ion outputter and wanted to slap it out of my hand (I didn't let him, and he's over it now).As far as value, I think this is quite expensive for the limited use/limited effect most people will see with it, but for the right person it could make a difference. It's (negative ions in general, not this unit) been studied in use to help people with depression, and I can see that as a reason for getting it (you'd really want to be diligent about getting it in your face, though).

Silent. 4-in tall. Seems effective
This ionizer seems sturdy and well-made. It is less than 4 inches tall. It has no fan so it is silent, but that also makes me think it needs some sort if circulating air to be effective. I dont know how to really test that, but it seems to help a little.Update: i had a complaint about a different product, and this terrific seller gave me excellent support and understanding aboit my error. I would be embarrassed, but this seller treated me well, like a valued customer :-)

Does it work?
This is not inexpensive. So is the technology right? And does this machine deliver? Unfortunately I can’t tell you. The machine operates in the sense that it lights up. It makes no sound. Are negative ions being generated? Is it ozone free, as promised? Is it good for me? I don’t know. Just got it so may revisit the review if use over time reveals anything.
