Happy with this, a reasonable probiotic and prebiotic
Of course the very best way to get a spankingly fit microbiome, generally will be by food itself. To do that, a wide variety of plants should be eaten - at least 30 DIFFERENT plants over the course of a week - and of course, the quantity should be sufficient - current measurements seem to suggest one portion of the 5 a day (or 7-10 , according to more recent suggestions) is 80 gm. Plant food is fibre rich, and fibre feeds the little critters (prebiotics) And the best way, as well as that wide variety of fruits vegetables, nuts, seeds, pulses etc, is to also eat fermented foods regularly - live yoghurt, kefir (extremely high in those valuable colonies of gut friendly critters), kombucha, kimchi, or other fermented vegetables, like sauerkraut. As I do do all of the above, I know I don't need the recommended portion of these (2 capsules) So I take 1, and if I am having kefir or a reasonable portion of kimchi or sauerkraut, would not take a capsule that dayThese are UK manufactured - I am leery, perhaps wrongly, of supplements coming from quite a few countries. These arrived properly safety sealed, and are a usual capsule size, and sensibly should be taken with water, of course, as if someones oesophagus was a bit dry.....well that encourages a sense of something 'sticking'I had no adverse effects from these, which I take to maintain what I know is a generally extremely happy digestive system.

OK product
First up, I give 3 stars for average products. Its not a bad product, just nothing exciting about it either.2 capsule serving means this is just a 1 month supply for £18.99 (at time of writing). For this amount there are plenty of other options out there both in cost comparison and cheaper. I personally prefer supplements that last at least a couple of months before you have to replace them. Or they are cheap enough that you don't mind buying them monthly. This does neither of those things. I oersoanlly think it's a bit overpriced and too short a supply.Easy enough to swallow. Various friendly forms of bacteria to help the whole body via the gut, with proven and well know health benefits. So it's def worth supplementing yourself with good bacteria. And this stuff is fine.

A cultured probiotic - and I'm allowed to say that thanks to Brexit
It's taken me a few weeks to post this review, because it takes a fair old time to make sure that you actually do get 20 billion cultures in this little bottle. But I've counted each one and I can confirm the number is accurate.Do probiotics work? There’s no overall consensus about the effectiveness of taking probiotic supplements. Interestingly, the word ‘probiotic’ isn't allowed to appear on products sold within the EU as no health claims have been accepted as proven when the evidence has been assessed by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). Some probiotic species, such as lactobacilli and bifidobacteria, are thought to produce compounds called short-chain fatty acids, which stimulate the growth of good bacteria already in the gut and provide energy to the gut wall. Yes, the UK is no longer part of the EU so it looks as if the manufacturer can use the word probiotic in the product description here on Amazon UK.While more research is needed for the EFSA to approve any health claims linked to probiotics, there is some evidence that probiotics can help with IBS symptoms and antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, but it’s important to match the bacteria strain to your specific symptoms. As someone who has suffered from IBS most of my life, I am encouraged by the use of the words "there is some evidence", because evidence is hard to find when it comes to food supplements. Most of what we read is marketing, even if we don't realise it.Overall, an interesting and reasonably priced product. Admittedly I haven't noticed any obvious differences yet, but then again it's often very difficult to know for sure what has caused any change when it's only a tiny element of what I eat over the course of a month. I'm still on the fence with this one, but I'm gradually leaning towards 'like' and away from "it's okay".

Decent potency vegan pro-biotic - for a fair price...
Firstly don't make the mistake I did and think you're getting 3 packs of this supplement - you get just the one which for this type of supplement is reasonably priced. I've taken a wide range of dietary supplements and vitamins for years but have only recently discovered the value of supplements for gut health.I've been taking another much more expensive supplement containing live pro-biotic cultures for a short while and have already noticed a positive difference in terms of bowel health, regularity and absence of diarrhoea. Consequently I've been looking around for other supplements to continue the good effects that would be sufficiently potent - but also a little less costly. This Advanced Live Culture supplement from Nature's Zest contains 20 billion CFU per 2 capsules per one day serving - a multi-strain complex which should last for a month. The capsules are easy to swallow and the pack I received had a long Best Before date of 01/12/23. Vegan, gluten, wheat and soy free, the product is packaged in a compact amber plastic screw topped container to deter exposure to sunlight.Made in the UK, the product is GMP certified - standing for Good Manufacturing Practice in the pharmaceutical sector. I'm confident in this Nature's Zest pro-biotic supplement which for me combines a decent potency with a fair price.

Ok but a little expensive for us.
These advanced live bio cultures from Natures Zest appear to be very good quality and not only contain 20 billion cfu from several strains of bacteria but also include the important pre-biotic ingredients to support them.I have been a long-term sufferer of diverticulosis and IBS. Having good gut flora is a help in alleviating some of the symptoms and I have found these live bio cultures to effective. Since I have been taking them I have been completely free from my usual symptoms. My bowel habits have been regular, easy and comfortable and I have been feeling light, bright and more energetic than I have for a long time. I have also suffered from mild facial rosacea and I have noticed an apparent improvement in my skin, which appears clearer and much less red.At nearly £19 for 60 capsules, the recommended serving of two capsules a day make these a little expensive for us as it would mean laying out £37.90 each month for two of us. This is nearly twice the price of our usual product, which actually contains more cultures (30 billion) So, though I’m sure these are excellent quality I don’t think we’ll be likely to be ordering more when these run out.
