Its sharp
Will cut lettuce, cabbage and a host of other vegetables. Supervisor the kids if you allow them to use it , it is sharp and could still do some damage

Works like a dream
Sharper than I expected. Works great> Nice grip. Has a strip of rubbish material on handle to help gripping when wet. Love it!!!

Good for sawing vegetables
It works, but it actually take more time to saw through vegetables versus slicing. I don't have young children, but this may be good for kids cutting (sawing) something that is softer than salad fixin's.The cuts are very rough. It doesn't slice through veggies, you have to saw through veggies. Not for me.
