Tinkertoy Basic Building Kit

Bought these for my grandson for Christmas. He loves them. I wish the container & lid were a little sturdier, not sure how it will hold up over time. Otherwise, great quality.

This was given to a great grandson who loves to build things. He is a little young yet but still likes to put things together with it. Quite fun to watch his skills develop with this set.

These are the same toys that have been around for years, but I had to take a couple of stars off because the product did not perform as expected. The box says these are for kids 3+ but the fit of the sticks into the various connectors is really tight and tough to do. It was hard for my 4 year old to get pieces to stay together because it took so much pressure to slide any pieces together. I'm hopeful that the fit will loosen up as he plays with it.Also, one of the sticks actually ripped apart when trying to remove it from the connector wheel. Not exactly the product peformance of my old tinkertoys that have lasted for years and years.

Had these when i was a kid. Got them for my grandson but i think i played with them as much as him. This size can does limit you to smaller builds but great for a starter.

Pieces are difficult to fit together, but I assume will have some give over time. Otherwise good quality.

We thought these would be such a fun, classic building toy. We got them for our 4 year-old's birthday. Literally within 2 minutes one of the circular connecter pieces snapped in half. After playing with them another 10 minutes, another connector piece broke. They broke when I was trying to connect/disconnect the pieces, so it wasn't like a little toddler treating them inappropriately. It was an adult trying to carefully take things apart and they just snapped. Pretty disappointed.

Toys broke in half after two times being played with. I had hoped for the older style tinker toys to be more rugged, but I was sorely disappointed. The box is under half full of toys and not very good quality.

I bought these for my grandchildren, they have been a great hit. They love them as much as I did as a child. Another bonus is that when they play with these they use their mind instead of zoning out in front of a screen!
