Believe all the negative reviews
Why didn't I believe all the negative reviews. I was warned about crude manufacturing with misaligned components and failure to.open and close completely. This device is so.poorly designed that if if manufactured decently it cannot enlarge battery terminal clamp because it is much to small to exert.any significant force on the battery clamp.The photo does not show how small, and useless this plier really is.

This tool is for resizing Battery cable ends for proper fit on posts, this eliminates improper installations.

It will not fit inside small terminals because it is too big.
It will not fit inside small terminals because it is too big. Does not fit my Toyota MR2 and Honda Jazz and Honda CRV. Maybe it is for truck or bus batteries.

Handy battery post spreaders
I lost may original pair of spreads and got real tired if using a screw driver to open up the battery terminal during electrical trouble shooting. These worked good, were relatively inexpensive and came well wrapped. Glad I made the purchase.

terrible workmanship
The hole for the rivet was way off center and put a bind in the tool. You can't open the tool. How can this be overlooked by the person assembling the tool???
