It works
The product uses black magnetic strips to adhere to a metal vent. Most vents are white or cream, and the two black rectangles are jarring to look at. Also, not all vents are metal. Other adhesion options would be nice. I used Command Strip, the thick kind like velcro.

Works well and sticks to ceiling vent perfectly.
I was worried this magnetic vent would not be strong enough to stay attached to our ceiling vent. But it does. And it deflects the A/C from hitting us directly in our bed. Now it cools down the room nicely without an uncomfortable direct blast.
