The author was paralyzed in an accident and, years later, with no whiff of self-pity nor false macho, shares the challenge faced and defeated in 50 marathons in 50 weeks from his wheelchair. The descriptions are lively, the attitude incredibly positive without being unreal or squishy. Most of all, a real-world account of hope, effort, and achievement shared in terms any can understand.

I loved the descriptions of the races but my favorite was 'behind the scenes' as the author writes honestly about his experiences. It is a touching, moving book that motivates and inspires.
