Great for the hobbyist
Bought this to use a few times a year, mainly when we go on vacation to the beach. I had to read the manual and it took some use to get the hang of the different settings. But it works very well...the discriminator and depth/object indicator works well and is pretty accurate. It allows you to bypass junk and only dig up wanted items. I have found some jewelry and many coins (no old ones) with it. I am by no means a serious metal detector person, but this is perfect for the casual user.

Comes w/bag and pinpointer
This does come with the bag and pinpointer so don't order those separately. Pinpointer is not all that great but I bought a better one by Garrett. Besides the QD2 I also have the Bounty Hunter Loan Star - quite similar to the QD2. Both assemble in minutes. Towards the back of the manual there is a list of basic settings for coins, relics, jewelry etc. They do seem to work much better than auto notch. If you buy a coil cover, get the one that is a disc as the spider will not fit. The Loan Star only shows coins as one group, not penny, dime, nickel, quarter like the QD2 does.Bag is a tight fit. Take off lower rod, flip coil against rod and place at the bottom. Top piece on its side with unit to outside. Leaves room for headphones, collapsible shovel, trowel etc. Zippered pouch will hold spare batteries and instruction manual but not much else.Very easy to use once you get the hang of the appropriate settings. Head to a beach or sandy area to learn than head to soil.

Great machine even for twice the price
I have used the Whites 5900 Pro for several years. This little Bounty Hunter will surprise even old pros. It is light and easy to use. One of the best things is you can break it down for travel fast and easy. You can program it for your personal type of hunting. I can't wait to try the 4" coil on it for nugget shooting. The only problem has been target the exact location after you get a buzz in the earphones. May take a little practice. One third the cost of my Whites unit, and while not as complex, it has lots going for it for the money invested. A good buy.

Can’t get anyone to contact me
Can’t get anyone to contact me Called left messages also with my phone number and email. Nothing 🤷🏼♂️ I’ve spent hundreds of dollars. On Bounty Hunter detectors. The land star sounded off every swing for no reason. Most expensive BH detector I’ve purchased and was the worse. Just had a simple question. The difference between the 202 and quick draw 2. And Why does Quick draw 2 have two different color face plates and different arm cuffs. I want the old style. I don’t like the blue on the face plate. Had the radio shack 2000. Loved it. I understand it was a bounty hunter. 202 or Quick draw 2. ?? I would still like to talk to someone. That know the facts without guessing.

Box arrived open , kind of cheap looking
I ordered this for my husband for Christmas. The box arrived open at one end so I had no idea if something was missing. Thankfully it was all there. Item kind of cheap looking for the money. I hope it works!

Probably the best MD for starting out........
This is the first MD I've ever bought and I'm extremely pleased with how easy it is to use. Whith all the features this detector has, it is still user friendly. But, you need to read the instruction manual very carefully (maybe more than one time) to fully understant some othe more advanced features. You don't need to learn more than just turning it on and adjusting two dials, and your good to go.. This detector should provide all you'll need to get started. If at some point in the future you feel the need to upgrade, plan an spending at least double of what you paid for the Quick Draw II..Here is a Bounty Hunter web site that will provide answers to most all of your questions.[...]

Good entry level detector
We got this for Christmas so we haven't had much time to use it but it seems to indicate where wires and pipes are located in the ground which is why we got it. It's easy to use and gives you a lot of information about what it detects. It's a good entry level detector.
