Great light - tough install
The light is bright and the color choices it offers are ideal.Bought three to replace a trio of aging under-cabinet fluorescents in our kitchen. The first one I installed was hard. The wiring channel inside the lamp is very narrow and shallow and putting in the heavy wiring from the house in to it was a fight. But I did it and was very pleased with the resulting light. However, I found out THIS was the easy one of the three! The next two had 5 wires from the house (daisy chain) where the first had only three. This meant more wires in the same small space. A struggle ensued, but I did it and the results were worth it.Something I strongly recommend doing - I did this for the second and third lights and it made the task much easier - make a template of the screw locations. I used the box from Amazon and traced the shape of the lamp and screw holes on it it, cut out the template and the screw hole area. After that marking and drilling was easy. One truly bad thing I found: two of the mounting screws were not cut correctly - in these screws, the philips head was almost flat in two of the channels. This meant screwing it in was a real problem until you use a simple flat head screw driver. I found this was one key reason my first install was so hard - one of the screws was misshapen and so I was fighting it more than should have been required.I give these lights 4 stars due to the install complexity, but otherwise they are worth 5 stars for the resulting light.

Very bright light
I just got this light installed underneath my kitchen cabinets and it replaced my previous two lights which were also LED but USB charged. I wanted a permanent solution which did not require that I remember to charge them a few times a week. This product definitely meets the expectation and then some. The lights are really bright, so much so that now I do not want to turn it on in the mornings until I am really awake. I am now looking for a dimmer as once it's installed, it'll be much easier on the eyes in the mornings. One thing though... the two switches (power and light temp) are rather clunky, you will hear them being turned on/off. In addition, I guess that makes it two things... the fixture is not slim, so do expect that it will stick out from underneath your cabinets, unless you have a wood skirt to hide the light. So, for the bit outdated design, I took one star off. GE should jump on the bandwagon when it comes to the product design. Compared to other LED lights out there, this design is rather mediocre, if anyone cares. I do.

An awesome light fixture.
This light fixture is absolutely awesome. It gives you 1105 lumens and a choice of three types of light ,warm, cool, or daylight. This light is designed to be hard wired, in other words no plug. If you're not familiar with house wiring get a person who is. One IMPORTANT note. Sometimes you may find it offers too much light. I strongly recommend a dimmer. The problem is do follow the installation instructions which state compatible dimmers part numbers and their manufactures. Even dimmers which state compatible with LEDs may not work. From a dimly lit corner in our kitchen we now have like an open outside window streaming with bright sunlight. Love it.

Very happy with these lights
After a complete remodel of my kitchen a year and a half ago, I finally got around to selecting and installing under cabinet lighting. I had roughed in pancake boxes mounted under the cabinets, so I knew from the beginning that I wanted something I could hard wire in, without needing or using transformers. I've researched every lighting product I could find and finally decided on these. I'm so glad I did. These are quality lights that have three separate colors options (Kelvin temps) so you can select between daylight (bluish color), pure white (just like it sounds) and soft white (yellowish color.) I have a long counter top with three (30") uppers on either side of my range and hood. I mounted 24" units under each 30" cabinet, so three on either side of the range. They're also wired to a dimmer switch and daisy chained together. I used push in style connectors which were supplied with the units, do to a limited amount of connectivity space, like other reviewers have mentioned. The one thing I will say, each unit comes with only one metal cable connector to secure your electric line feeding the light. If you're planning on wiring several lights together like I did, you'll need to purchase additional cable connectors. They're not the average connectors that ht e box box stores carry. The standard connector inserts into a 1/2" knockout, where in this case, you'll need connectors to fit 3/8" knockouts that each light has. I'm sure you can find the correct connector either here on Amazon, or at a specialty electrical store. Also, both big box stores near me (the orange and blue ones) carry this unit for $65/unit, however I was able to find it on Amazon, on sale for $48/unit. Glad I checked.

Simple to install, great features
I wasted several hundred bucks with LED strip/tape lighting that was severely underpowered and a royal pain to install. I should have started with these. I strung them together serially on both sides of my kitchen. They can be individually set to soft, warm, or cool plus individually turned off or on and are dimmable. Do yourself a favor and mount them under cabinet with double sided tape or velcro to save a lot of neck strain and acrobatics with screws :). I also wired them into the Caseta Lutron wifi/programmable switches. Best investment in the kitchen.
