Delicious recipes. My Go To PC Cookbook
I bought two pressure cooker cookbooks once I got over my fear of my pressure cooker. This one, and Miss Vicki's Big Book of Pressure Cooker Recipes. I am a novice, but have used my pressure daily for 3 weeks to make delicious dinners for my family. The recipes in this book are easy to follow, accurate (more later on this), and always delicious. I already have 'Old Favorites' in this fairly new cookbook. I love that this book has both a Coc Au Vin and Beef Bourguignonne recipes for my pressure cooker. These are both dishes that I have meticulously slaved over all day to make from my Julia Child recipes. To have someone accurately translate these into simple pressure cooker recipes for a novice is wonderful. Each time I have made my husband something from this cookbook, he has said, 'You have to mark that recipe, it's a keeper'. It got to the point where I told him, you will have to tell me when there is something you don't like because so far you have told me to mark every single recipe as delicious.I have yet to find a recipe in this book that is not absolutely delicious, easy to follow, and accurate. In the other book that I purchased, Miss Vicki's book, I have found that there are errors, as in not enough fluid in the recipes, that have been costly. I am still trying to save my pressure cooker from the last recipe of hers that I made,'Italian Beef Simmered in Tomato-Garlic Sauce'. There are good recipes in her book, but after following her recipe precisely and reading it 4 times because there didn't seem to be enough fluid in it to cook the ingredients for 15 minutes at 15psi, I made it and found out that there wasn't enough fluid...which can be really bad in a pressure cooker. I ended up with a very dry, edible at best, meal that I had to add tomato sauce to after it was cooked to try and salvage it for dinner. The bottom of my pressure cooker is stained from the almost burned ingredients. As an experienced cook, I can tell you that both of these are good cookbooks. As a fairly inexperienced pressure cooker user, The Easy Pressure Cooker Cookbook is my Go To book for recipes. It is easy to follow, accurate and everything is delicious. As I become more confident and develop better instincts by using this wonderful cookbook, I will be experienced enough to trust my instincts when using Miss Vicki's book and correct the recipes where they need to be corrected.I highly recommend this cookbook. NOTE: I have read some of the reviews from people whose recipes are not turning out. This book is written for pressure cookers cooking at 15psi (stovetop models). Electric pressure cookers do not reach this, and generally cook at 10psi. I have yet to find a cookbook for Electric pressure cookers, so I cannot help with this. You will have to extend the cooking times if you bought this for an Electric pressure cooker.

True to its name!
I recently received my copy of “The Easy Pressure Cooker Cookbook” and just finished reading through all the recipes - a feat because this cookbook is a big, fat juicy one jammed with a little bit of everything. The book is true to its name with recipes that look easy and doable with short-ish ingredients lists and no laborious instructions. Although it’s not comparable to Julia Child “Mastering the Art of French Cooking,” I award it Five Stars because it stays in its lane and delivers what it promises, in a well organized easy to read format. The only downside (and this is purely subjective opinion on my part) is that much of the book is dedicated to vegetables, rice, and side dishes that are a bit repetitive and seem to be filler. There is no shame in that if you consider them bonus recipes, but I would have preferred a bigger section of soups and entrees since I don’t often pull out my Instant Pot to make side dishes. It also does not feature accompanying photographs, but that’s never been a deal breaker for me.Bottom line: Diane Phillips really gives you your $20 worth with this collection of good looking tasty dishes. These are neither fussy nor elegant recipes, but they are thoughtfully written and should give you many fine meals to enjoy for years to come. Buy it.

sweet & sour red cabbage
I have made several items: cabbage, sweet & sour red cabbage, 2 different pot roasts and ribs. This book was a freebie, but what a true bargain! I saw the book listed on bookbub daily deals and got it before I had the cooker. But knowing I had the cook book already gave me confidence to buy the cooker, if that makes any sense? Love the recipes, and there are so many! The italian pot roast was amazing. It was the first time in my life I made a delicious pot roast. The pressure cooker I bought is 8 qt and electronic. Most of these recipes I think are for the kind of cooker that can go on the stove. However, I found them very easily adaptable. Instead of browning in the cooker, i just use a frying pan, etc.Having a pressure cooker is such a dream! I wish I knew they weren't so hard to use a long time ago.Thank you for getting me turned on to this.update 6/2015I've used my PC for about 7 months now and still am amazed at how easy the electric ones are to use. And like another person, this cookbook is my go-to PC cookbook; and like another person, I do not like the Kindle version because I can not make notes, so I just ordered a book version. I have learned that you really have to play around with liquid and seasoning amounts as well as using a steamer. Who knew green cabbage was sweet?

I like the idea of this book but so many recipes ...
I like the idea of this book but so many recipes use American ingredients that are not easily available here or have no British equivalents that I have not really found the book that useful. A little bit of research and substitution for more familiar ingredients would have made this a more satisfying and helpful book.

If you have a pressure cooker then you need this book!
I already had this book. My mom loved it so much, so we ordered a copy for her as well. Extremely informative, great recipes...if you have a pressure cooker then you need this book!

Super Cookbook
I got seven pressure cooker cookbooks out of the Library and went through them all to see which one I wanted to own to go with my new Pressure Cooker. This was it. Thorough and comprehensive - the only one I need.
