Junk
At first this worked great but only after 6 uses then the clamp stripped out of it for the rod and the locking slide wore away to where it wont even stay in position anymore. Save your money for a better quality piece.

Great for springs in the head and in the block
If you are rebuilding an F134 Willy's jeep this is the one you need. It can handle the springs in the block and the ones in the head. Likely the valve locks will be stuck to the roto caps on the valves so when you go compress it, it won't compress. Just jam a screw driver into the cap (with the compressor fully engaged) and tap it with a hammer a couple times and it will break loose.

Decent little tool
Rebuilding my F head engine means I had to buy two different spring compressors. This one was the second I bought, and what i received is exactly what is pictured. This one cost the same as the first one i purchased, but it will do the job that it can do (overhead valve) and also internal valve. Wish I got this one first. Also it comes in a sweet case. No issues, it has sturdy enough construction for compressing valves and it worked fine for me.

Valve spring compressor
Works pretty good after I figured out how to use it right, I used one before that once you adjusted it would stay that way. This one you have to adjust every time. Not to bad for the price I paid for it.

Powerful? Not so much...
Might work ok for someone that's going to rebuild their 22r, but has no place in a shop for sure. Chincy stamped steel construction. The lock mechanism broke on the third valve. Finished the one 8.3l Cummins engine I had to do and it went into the trash.

Easy to use,
Takes time to get a hang of it since its a little wobbly jiggly. But it worked fine on my 98 cherokee xj 4.0l
