Neat little device. I was previously using bitlocker on a regular usb-C 3.1 thumb drive, but decided to try this. Pretty good so far. Seems to work well. Things of note though. 1. Solid build and has weight to it. Love it 2. Irrespective of the details in this ad, it actually has fips 197 and 256 AES XTS....same as the higher model enterprise Privacy 50. See Pic. So a great bonus. 3. Manually running the ironkey app everytime is too many steps just to open. Perhaps after the initial setup, the app will auto run and immediate the login pw screen comes up after plug in. Also once opened, the virtual cd drive remains shown as well. So you'll see a virtual drive with the ironkey system files (typcally as D$) and your encrypterd data drive on another drive letter, all within the windows explorer view. Weird. I can some typing to write this virtual cd drive All in all, a good value with excellent encryption. I recommend.

I am extremely pleased with this storage drive; its robust metal casing, generous storage capacity, aesthetically pleasing design, and outstanding value for money have truly impressed me, making it an exceptional choice in the market. The drive operates with impressive speed, ensuring reliable data security, and boasts an intuitive user interface that simplifies its operation. However, my only minor drawback pertains to the pre-installed software, or "bloatware". Although an option to decline the installation is present, the continuous and persistent prompts for software installation proved to be somewhat bothersome during the initial setup process.

Works great. Love this product. Though this doesn't work in android. Delivery with Ninja van is delayed.

The Kingston IronKey is lightning fast as well as super easy to use and setup. It literally took me 30 seconds to get it setup- there is a video below on Amazon walking you through the process and it works exactly like they show you. The file directory interface exactly like my C drive interface making it so easy to use . You do not have to back-up to the Cloud - like the video below shows you can just click on the decline button if you don't want to back up to the cloud. It is encased in metal and seems very durable. It costs considerably more money than the cheap plastic flash drives available from other manufactures. I originally bought three of the cheap ones made of plastic and all three cost less than this one. But, two of the plastic ones failed within a year, they were difficult to get setup, frustrating to use, much slower, and had bugs. I have used Kingston before and came back to them. I have two Kingston Data Travelers one is 14 years old and the other is 8 years old and they both still work. I just needed more capacity so a bought another one. I am extremely happy with it.

These are great secure drives encrypted so you can save all your data. Good storage capacity reading rights are very good. Ben backed up my financial data. Don’t forget your password. Very adorable construction and not bad for the price.

Great storage capacity and security. Password protected. Easy to set up and use. Great if you are needing something secure and private to store files.

*** Update **** Just saved for a second time and when I went to open the drive it no longer lets me in with my password, keeps saying its wrong and its not, neither of the two passwords, and it isn't readable on one of our PC's or its not discoverable, of course this would happen 2 days after the return window. TERRIBLE. Pretty disappointed and I have yet to use it. Too overwhelmed last night to read through the 32 page manual. Not a mini book, a full A4 sheet, 31 page manual with photos i had to download in Books App . It shouldn't be that hard. Initially I had only removed one star because its only the old USB style, but.... its 2025, Apple switched to Type-c what? Like 6-7 yrs ago? So I bought this together with an USB port adapter, only to find when I opened all of the products that its starts by saying "AVOID connecting LP50 to any devices that feature USB ports". Ummm, you'd think this would be important to put on the listing right? It really ticked me off what that nowhere on the listing which would be very informative for all the Mac users out there. (see video and pic attached to this review) So basically if it's not recommended it means your data is at risk. So a total of $96 + the data recovery insurance I bought with it = ($100) for something that I risk daily of losing my data?? No-one buys one of these if whats on there isn't super important. There are some for $34 that don't have this little disclaimer, we are buying this because it makes us feel more secure. Well, NOT. The last laptop I had with an old fashion traditional USB was maybe 10 yrs ago. You'd think at this price they would make the other side with a Type-c or make a Type-c version. Total waste of my time and money. As well as amazon. Now, since I had ripped open the packaging, I have nothing more than a stupidly-over priced flash drive Im stuck with and I have to return the USB port adapter. Would it be clearer id they just wrote "NOT recommended for Mac" in the title listing and not waste everyones time and money?! If you have a PC, this seems like it would be great, however, you'll surely eventually find (later im sure) their other version called "the vault" thats more expensive and will make you wonder if this one is secure at all if its the same thing with the same capacity but $50 cheaper than their "Vault" version. Clearly, this one is easily compromised or they wouldn't have VAULT version. You would think that with a 32 page manuale you were setting up a vault for yourself. In the end I had given this a 2-stars however i removed the second due to so many inconsistencies to what the product should be. Not mentioned in the listing that you cant use (or "Avoid not recommended") with a port. No Type-C included in the pen drive (in 2025) Not for mac users (which is 20% of the world, and over 50% if you include iPads) Tedious instructions for what should be pretty simple. - (set up as you plug in with simple as-you-go instructions, not rocket science) Not 100% secure for what you are paying. So I cant trust ot now for the use I bought it for. And not sure I want to erase all data where its unrecoverable after just 10 attempts. So sorry, because of all this- as a Mac, MacbookPro and iPad user, I have to give this a 1 star.
