Definitely worth paying extra for this rather than the cheap flaky models. This a complete and well designed ringer. It has all the basic features and control you'd expect, and its very loud at full volume.The volume control has 3 levels plus silent. The tone is adjustable from low pitch to high pitch so you can find the right pitch for the hearing impaired person.It has 2 phone jacks, in and out. So you don't need 2 jacks or a splitter. But it will also work when plugged into a different jack than the phone (e.g. in a different room). It even includes a phone cord.Doesn't need a battery, it gets power from the phone line.Has screw clips on the back for mounting on a wall and comes with a piece of double sticky mounting pad

This is SO LOUD!! It's for my mom- she's so hard of hearing. They can hear it down the hall with the door closed. If it rings while I'm there, it blows my eardrums!

The product is probably good, however it will not work with a Comcast Arris phone modem. I didn't see any comments of this issue prior to purchasing. Will have to send back.

I think this is a wonderful, simple item that does work as a loud item. Otherwise I would buy again. I am returning. I am too deaf indeed. My wife says it is very, very loud for her.

I bought my father a landline phone with caller ID. He didn't like it because he said it was too quiet and that he couldn't hear it from outside. I purchased this product to try and fix that. I am very happy to report that it is very loud. It has 4 different volume levels. The tone setting is analog and can be varied within its range.I may have missed it but I didn't see that a cable was included. I purchased one but found out that it does come with its own cable. It is very easy to install and no batteries are needed. I am completely satisfied with this product.

I Purchased this for my 85-year-old father who couldn’t hear his phone ringing sitting right next to him. Once I plugged this in he had no problem hearing it and now we are able to reach him. He has trouble hearing higher ranges so this is a good product because it allows you to set it on high or low tone.

This was bought for a 90 yr old with diminished hearing and really helps! Great find!

Unit looks good and sounds off when phone rings but the sound isn't loud. It is higher-pitched electronic-sounding ring, no louder than on the phone I want to amplify. Did I get a dud or did someone stretch the advertising? If it produces 95+ decibels as advertised, the online examples of what 95 decibels sound like are wrong. I will keep it and plug it into a phone jack in a different room from the phone in order to have two sources of sound, but needless to say, 'this ain't whut I wuz expectin'. Buyer be advised!
