This is a beautiful book with lots of great ideas and very pretty photos.

The author, Stacy Risenmay has a great sense of style. She has a very successful website and now she shares her ideas in this lovely book. It is well designed, has gorgeous photographs and a great index for quickly reference. The author is so clear in her instructions that even I could take on a project or two. ||As advertised, all projects feature natural objects such as rocks, plants, flowers and beach finds. While most of her ideas are beautiful, I find three ideas rather cringe worthy. To wit, for any book lover to see a book opened on its spine as in Page 64, it sends shudders. Likewise, for some reason a vase or potted plant on a book startle the bibliophile in me. Also, the use of bird feathers as decoration might cause a run on them. Starfish, too are threatened and rather stinky creatures. The author does not include how to properly cure them. If one packs them up in a suitcase, the results are smelly! At any rate, a live starfish must be thrown back in. Still, in all, so many beautiful ideas for the home.

This book has very easy to follow step-by-step, pictorial tutorials that will inspire you to bring nature into your home! I loved that there were easy projects for the beginner and more difficult projects for those who are looking for a challenge. The book has some amazingly creative planters that I've never seen anywhere before. Even if you have a "brown thumb", you will find a project that inspires you to grow something indoors!
