Upgraded to this from using Rok basket
I bought a Rok GC espresso maker. I don’t like the naked portafilter basket because it has that little lip on the inside making it hard to tamp correctly. I managed to remove that basket from the portafilter via hitting it with a hammer. I recommend not doing this if you don’t want to damage that basket or possibly the spring inside. You can use a cheap watch cover remover tool to remove it safely.Anyway, this thing fits very snug inside the Rok’s naked portafilter and it has no lip so I can finally puck prep correctly. Personally I think it’s a bit pricy, but whatever. People that get into espresso are used to blowing money.

Dedica 685 works like a charm
Before I thought I had to get a 49mm tamper and puck screen. But after purchasing this. My delonghi 51mm tamper and my 51mm norm core puck screen fitted it perfectly.It is a much better build and more holes than the cheap basket I have. This basket is slightly heavier too.I can get great results using a lower budget setup which is nice. The beans are grinded with a baratza encore with a upgraded burr.Also I noticed no more channeling with this basket. Highly recommend for all dedica owners
