Wish I’d bot this years ago!!
Just tried this new broom/dustpan.…It was only slight confusion assembling the handles; the card w/directions is tiny print/hard to see. But the pieces make 2 handles; screws together easy: dust-bucket handle is slightly shorter & has clip on it to hold the broom handle to it for storage; the dust bucket folds vertical & holds the bristles in.Was Not sure plastic was wise choice; original versions were metal...but, this does a surprisingly good job, & is easy enough to manipulate....The lip of dust-bucket goes flat to floor to capture fine particles (w/help from your foot making it change position)(the old original metal ones fold up/down by gravity, by just lifting it up/down off floor)...The broom is stiff, yet sweeps fine particles nicely, & does great for brisk-sweeping rugs & solid surface flooring....The teeth on the bin do a great at capturing dust bunnies into it…we get SO MUCH fine & coarse dust, it piles up in a matter of a few days; lots of big dust bunnies—this grabs all of it, with much less effort....I can sweep bathroom, bedroom, hallways, livingroom, diningroom & kitchen, fairly easily, & only need to dump the dust bucket once…w/ room left for more.....& not having to bend-over to do it?...splendid! 😃🧹…dust bucket can store horizontal unassisted, or vertical to stand-alone if propped slightly.I have disabilities; Without this broom & dust-bucket, I feel wiped-out just doing 1 room, from bending or getting down to floor to hold regular dustpan, up/down/up/down. But, With this, I swept ALL the rooms in less than 10 or 15 minutes. That might not sound impressive, since it is only about 700 s.f., but for me, it’s a big deal, because every bit of energy saved, means I can do more in a day!!This set should be perfect for residential use, & it feels substantial enuf, it should last a long time (we’re pretty easy on how we use stuff).I’ve worked janitor/maintenance & in hotels. I would NOT recommend this for commercial use—it’d likely need to be repaired/replaced too often, because plastic is Not long-lived for commercial use (hotels, etc.); for that, I recommend getting a heavy duty metal version of this. BUT…I know some janitors who choose to buy cheap vacuums & brooms in bulk, & use parts off broken ones to repair surviving units—that could work for this set.

Short Stiff Broom; Otherwise Great!
Broom is short. I’m 5’7”. It’s not awful, but it’s not as comfortable as a regular-sized broom. Tolerable, but will see if there’s a way I can replace the short handle with a longer handle. Also, handle is narrower than most brooms. Again, not awful but not as comfortable as a regular handle. Broom head is narrower than I like, which means more sweeping strokes to clean same area. I have a glitchy back. So, this sort of thing actually matters to me. Brussels are stiff and flat rather than angled. This takes away from comfort and from efficiency. On the good side, the the dust pan is a DREAM! Perfect size. Great seal with floor and doesn’t leave a line of dirt that you have to chase all across the room. My back thanks you. Folds up to a small footprint that is easily stored in a tight space. Hole on handle is too narrow. Won’t hang on hook. I’m just going to put a key ring through the hole to fix it.

mostly great
I’ve had this broom for a few months now and it’s held up very well. I really like the look of it and how pretty it is. The bristles are also stiff which is hard to get used to but handy for reaching narrow spaces. My only two real issues with it is that the handle sometimes starts unscrewing in my hands while sweeping. The other problem is that the broom does not stand up straight. Not only can it not stand up straight in storage, but the dustpan doesn’t stand up straight on its own. It’s actually kind of a big deal when it comes to sweeping, so definitely keep that in mind. I also think it’s important to remember that the handle is metal, which can be gross with sweaty hands and just not feel great altogether.I have no plans of getting rid of this broom since it’s definitely functional, and I do like it, but its not perfect. Not a bad purchase if it’s on sale or if you just like the look of it!

Its a broom
I'm always having to tighten the broom dustpan handle and the broom head for it comes loose alot and the bristles could be cut at an angle. Handle could be a little more taller. It's a broom and serves it purpose. I use this broom in my aviary and feathers stick to the bristles so having the teeth on the dustpan helps alot. Very light and can be put away in small places. Very handy.
