Excellent hatch out rate and a good source of live food.
I think that the people that expect to soak this stuff for a half hour and dump it in their tank then are disappointed because they don't see much happening don't really understand how it works. It introduced all sorts of little critters to my tank. The corals seem to be doing much better, and the shrimp are picking up the little organisms too. I even had a brittle star appear in the tank that could only have come from the Reef Bugs feedings. My fish are doing fine. There isn't anything in there that a fish wouldn't encounter in the wild, and if you had a working cleanup crew going in your tank there is no reason this stuff should be a problem. And at that point you probably shouldn't be trying to grow coral anyway.

Does what it says and more!!!!
I first started using this product years ago and now I use it with the SPS Grow and Soft Coral Grow. The reef bugs make my corals much larger and they seem to grow and multiply at a much faster rate. I have confirmed this by stopping the usage for a few months and then to using it again. There is a clear difference. One box of reef bugs will last for almost a year on a 75 gallon tank when used every other day or so at half strength. Great Product from the Master. Keep up the great work Marc!!!!!Kraig Koontz

Great product!
Love the packaging but it killed ny prized gem tang. Its nothing but yeast, i work in a microbiology lab and i tested this all the grew was yeast. No hatching or anything happened. Its a great product to get rid of fishes.

This is the Missing Link in the Reef Food Chain!
I've used this for awhile now after a marine biologist friend told me the best thing to do for my reef was to care for the tank from the bottom of the food chain on up. The bonus is my sand is remarkably clean, even though I only have a few cerith and nerite snails and no traditional sand sifters like stars or gobies or crabs. I've seen a noticeable increase in my pod population, especially in the one tank with no fish. For both tanks I use 1/2 of the suggested amount, 2x per week. I mix this up 30 minutes before using, then pour 1/2 the mixture into a high flow area, wait 15 minutes then add the rest. As with any new food, always feed lightly so you don't "fuel up" the bad guys (like cyano, spiro, or HA).

It aint alive, but it gets corals drooling...
I'm a little torn here. The stuff is clearly not anything "alive", even after putting into water and letting it sit for awhile. In fact, if I do that, I don't see much of a response from my fish or my corals. If, on the other hand, I dump a small scoop directly into the tank, the fish eat it and the corals show a good feeding response - tentacles all come out etc and so on. I don't really know how much of the stuff the corals are consuming since it's not a "chunk" that you can see - but it does get everything ready to eat so I can spot feed some mysis. Not sure how much it's really benefiting my corals, but it does seem to get them ready to eat and has not, so far, caused any kind of nutrient spike in my tank.3 stars for being a nice appetizer, but no more for being complete horse poop when it comes to being "live" stuff.

Coral Crack.
My coral seem to really like this stuff. I was really skeptical at first but the proof is in the bug pudding(gross). After just a few months of using this I've seen noticeable growth in my tank! And I have a fat happy dragonet! My only worry is that is does contain yeast which like vodka dosing can trigger fungus growth and bacterial out breaks(both pretty rare). But from what I've read people have used it for years with no ill effect. I highly recommend it!

I really like it. At first I was skeptical as I ...
I really like it. At first I was skeptical as I read some reviews of people looking at it under a microscope after activation and not seeing any movement. But I have to say I'm glad I tried it. I have been using it for 4 months now and have noticed a significant improvement in the health of my coral especially the LPS. They are more vibrant and are growing quickly. My clam has also increased in size. Another thing I've noticed is that I don't have to clean the glass as often if I'm dosing twice a week. I'm not really sure why this is but it is definitely an added benefit.
