Brilliant pizza oven
Bought this for my husband as he's been wanting one for ages.....he was looking at some of the dearer brands on the market but unfortunately too expensive for us , this one however is great, half the price of the big brands , but it's great , easy to use , heats up quickly and makes perfect pizzas in a minute ,I did wonder whether it would just be another fad, but it's proving to be great fun ,

Very pleased- Great oven
Really happy with the purchase, its a great bit of kit for the price, easy to use and setup and cooks really quick. Just remember to keep turning them as the do cook really fast and easy to burn. I do turn my down to medium/low once preheated for a little more control. Also recommend getting a wire brush to help clean the stone

What an amazing pizza oven
There is no going back after using this pizza oven. It is easy to put together, and you need a crosshead screwdriver. There is hardly anything to do. Just screw the fire box on top. Screw the handle onto the front door. The chimney slides on and locks when you twist it so it's easy to remove and store inside the oven when it's cold. There is a 12-inch stone that is easy to slide in. You need a bag of wood pellets, and they are easy to light. You will need a blow torch. I used a kitchen blow torch. I tried readymade doughs. But they burned easily and didn't cook properly. So, the only way is to make fresh dough yourself. There are lots of recipes on the internet. They are much of the same, whatever one you use. You need strong bread flour. Once you have everything, its straightforward. I followed the instructions on lighting it and then the time you must wait before cooking and that worked well. I used my watch countdown to time everything. The paddle needs flouring before putting the pizza on it to put it in the oven or the pizza will not slide off. The results were amazing just after the pizza being in the oven with the door shut for 30 seconds. Then I turned it around and put it in again for another 30 seconds. Then it was done. The texture is amazing, and the flavour is just brilliant. This is one level down from having a real clay oven. But if you want something portable and creates amazing pizza. Then you need this oven. Be prepared to smell of smoke though because some smoke will come at you. But it's worth it. I will never be buying pizza from anywhere else again. This is the only way at this amazing budget price. Because its wood and not gas, you get that extra flavour in the pizza. It has a nice bag to store it in as well.

Great pizza oven
It was a present for my husband's birthday. It's a very well-made oven. Excellent finish and look. There is a good thick stone inside. Keep the heat very well and do a good job. We are not disappointed with Zanussi. It's much less expensive than other popular ones but does the same job; however, you need some experience to bake a pizza in the oven like that. You need a good dough recipe too. We are pleased with this oven.

Don’t spend your money on branded pizza ovens!
The media could not be loaded. It arrived on time and luckily for the good weather yesterday we have put our new pizza oven into function. So easy to assemble and to use. We got the premium pizza oven pellets and it all went fast. Used jamie oliver’s pizza dough and everything was just excellent! Highly recommend this oven looks great, easy to use and the tase ohh just amazing!

A superb addition to any outdoor lover's garden!
Being one of those odd folk who cannot tolerate gluten, we make our own pizza bases and pizzas. It always seems a shame to put these "artisan" pizzas in our fan assisted oven - even though we use a nice pizza stone it just doesn't do them justice. This Zanussi pizza oven was set to change all that, and it has! It's big, robust, and more than capable of serving our needs as a family of 3!First impressions: Assembly was a bit tricky - lots of heavy bits of metal and we wanted to keep everything scratch free and shiny! But, it doesn't take too long and only a screwdriver is needed.Once we'd assembled it, we took it apart again for storage, and the supplied bag fits everything in neatly with a kind of "pull over" style - making it much easier to bag up the whole oven than we thought!During assembly/ disassembly you notice how well made everything is - this is a solid product and looks built for years of service!First impressions were great - the expectations of what a £179 (at time of review) pizza oven would be like were high - and so far they are met.Next challenge: Fuel! We always wanted a wood-fired pizza oven. We've seen the gas ones, and quite honestly they feel like cheating! Our favourite area in Portugal has an outdoor pizza oven and the smells from just the wood fired side are divine, and the pizzas are also... so we really wanted to recreate that. So, where do we get pellets? We had a bit of a mission locally as we have plenty of shops selling BBQ and Pizza ovens, but a distinct lack of pellets! We finally found a local store with a chap that seemed to know his stuff, and he sold us a bag of applewood pellets stating "these have some flavour, and are great for meat lovers" - which sounds just like us. A big bag of pellets that will last us ages cost ~£20.We planned our pizza afternoon carefully, and assembled the oven atop part of our gardens' wall. In hindsight, you could easily use this on a table (or the floor/ patio), as the legs make sure that the heat is kept away from the surface... but we were being cautious I guess. The oven looks GREAT in action... and fuelling it and warming it up was great. There was some initial checmical/ burn-off smells as it heated up, but during the warm up time these disappeared, leaving just the smell of the smouldering applewood.First in was a regular dough ham and cheese pizza, about 10". It cooked perfectly in about 4 minutes... we cautiously turned it a few times for even cooking, and learned some lessons on how to use the paddle/ spade thing too! There's a technique for sure to make sure you're getting under the pizza rather than pushing it further in - but that's part of the fun.Whilst my daughter marvelled at her ham pizza and waited for it to cool, we went straight in with my wife's pepperoni, olive, and mushroom pizza... this time we were much more adept at handling the raw and cooked pizza dough, and again, about 4 minutes was perfect.Just to point out - we make our own dough and we're no experts - and yet these were absolutely perfectly cooked - no raw dough, no soggy bits, just perfect! Now for mine! We use a gluten-free flour, and we freeze the par-baked bases... so mine was a little different - my toppings of choice were just simple Prosciutto and olives - and 4 mins was about right for mine - I like a bit of burn/ overdone on the outer crusts, and this was much easier to achieve in the Zanussi than in an electric oven! The pizzas were delicious. We are totally shocked at how well they came out, given they were our first try.Cleaning the pizza and packing away were much simpler than we thought, too... the design is such that cleaning is more a case of just emptying the ashes, cleaning the burner tray, and brushing/ dusting any debris or soot out... once fully cooled (we left it for 3 hours and it was fine) it took about 5 minutes to clean and re-pack... and it's stored ready for our next adventure in pizza cooking!Overall, how would I rate this? Very, very good.If anything, the only thing here is the cost - it's a big expense for us, and we hope to get good use out of it... Thumbs up!
