This is the updated and better model
Like many others, I had an extremely difficult time removing my old, frozen balancing spool. After finally getting the cap off I still could not remove the internal parts. Eventually, I drilled a hole, screwed in a long screw (just even to grab the metal) and pried it out with a hammer's claw. After all that, I did not know the exact replacement part I needed, but Hunt Miller's excellent review with a photo of the valve assembly looked just like mine so I was hopeful that the part he recommended would work. Upon removal though, my old part looked more like the BrassCraft SLD1153 or Delta RP574 (with more and smaller holes in the 1st and 4th sections and a slotted cap). But something told me that this part (Danze DA507041) was an updated version and it had the vastly superior hex head cap. I ended up order both versions and can now happily report that the DA507041 is indeed an upgraded replacement. In fact, the Delta part I ordered as a backup has (in real life) fewer & larger holes in the 1st & 4th sections. So if your old part has the 4 sections and looks like one of the others I listed above, don't worry and order this Danze part - It worked perfectly for me.

2004 Pegasus Shower Tub Fixture Repair Solved!
If you are trying to repair a vintage Home Depot Pegasus Shower Tub fixture you are reading the write review. I spent hours researching purchased a diverter twice and now can say if your Pegasus is like mine look no further… You will need three components to rebuild this valve; a diverter kit, a washerless cartridge and a pressure balance insert. I’m attaching this review to each of the amazon webpages they are listed on. Danze makes two of the rebuild kits and though I tried the Danze diverter kit, I had to return it and get the Toto diverter kit. The three parts you need are: Danze round stem washerless cartridge DA603567, Danze pressure balance insert DA507041, and finally Toto diverter kit THU4131. Installing these components requires an assortment of tools that an experienced handy person might have though you might have to go to the store for a socket or hex wrench. I used plumber’s grease to hold some parts together and enable the components to slip together easier. You will need some mechanical skills and be a little lucky nothing goes wrong. I stuffed a rag in the gap between the fixture and the hole in the wall to ensure I didn’t lose a small part in the wall. I also left the trim off and watched for any sign of leaks for a few hours. If you don’t think you are up to the challenge purchase all the parts and hire a trusted plumber to install them. This will be a lot more economical than tearing the wall apart and purchasing a new fixture and trim. I’ve attached a couple pictures so you can see if your fixture matches.

Low Pressure
Replaced the pressure balance and greatly proved the water pressure to the shower. If you are having low pressures issues in the shower i would recommend this to verify if it is an easy fix.

This is the mixing valve on a shower that was marked GOBO 21411
If your shower stem is GOBO 21411, this is the right pressure balancing spool for it. I am very happy. Packaging was great. I put some PTFE tape on the threads and all is good.

I used CLR and the easy outs, and still nothing
If it's the part you need, it's the part you'll get! I can't say I'm a big fan of these PITA's, but if you need it, you need it. Just a tip, my old one that I tried to remove was seized really well. I used CLR and the easy outs, and still nothing. The only thing that broke up the rust was this lubricant used for loosening up lug nuts on 18 wheelers. Just wanted to throw that out there in case anyone needed some help. Other than that, the install is super easy. Good luck.
